First time I get to use my stein for a märzen! Had it for years and rescued it from storage a couple months ago, turns out I've got a half dozen steins I've gotten as gifts over the years.
This one is from Germany, via Germany at Epcot.

Having my last Green thanks to @dee4maine! Fitting since he had one of his Crushers earlier tonight. In love with this beer and I am very sad that it's my last one.

Cheers to the NYFD and NJ FD. And my father who is still to this day fighting fire at 50 yrs old. (He wasnt in NY in 2001. As an ex vol. fireman of 5 years myself (2011-2016) i have no words for what those who gave have done. Just purely absolute respect 1000% it is not easy. Especially knowing when it will be your last fight. Even saying that its hard to put that feeling into words when youre standing in front of all that fire and its a deathtrap getting ready to work. No fear. That is all. Respect.

[IMG] Fantasy team today, good, I might even win before tomorrow's games, Cardinals, not so good, but you never expect an easy game with the Pats. Garrapolo looks good, the beat goes on. We had our big lake cookout yesterday for our Meetup group, and it was fun, but exhausting and a lot of work. I took some Laguntas 12 of Nevers, and Odell Drumrolls for my son and I. We both had a Sucks and Odell Lugene Milk Stout when we got back, and I fell asleep twice while drinking the stout. This Two Hearted is hitting the spot now, cheers!

PS, crazy that 911 was 15 years ago!

BACK. Last beer (for several days) before hitting the road with 16 first year college students to visit places around the Southwest for our class (Mesa Verde, Taos, etc...) - to celebrate, cracked a Cumbre IPA of course since we're heading for that region. Cheers all stay thirsty, see you next weekend.

Always excellent IPA, one of my classic favorites. Flavors of bright grapefruit, tangerine, lemon zest, orange peel, citrus rind, pine, and spicy/floral hops; with light caramel/bready malt balance. Smooth, crisp, and sticky hop mouthfeel; drying lightly resinous finish. Great Cascade/Centennial/Willamette hop complexity all around. Definitely my most bought Lagunitas beer of all time. Need to buy this more often, been buying the Stoopid Wit a lot since it got released seasonally.

Still incredible! Flavors of huge tangerine, grapefruit, pineapple, peach, mango, apricot, passion fruit, papaya, guava, mango, melon, lemon zest, orange peel, light pepper, and pine hops; with some honey/toasted bread malt balance; and herbal/floral/grassy hop earthiness. Moderate pine/citrus rind/peppery bitterness on the finish. Medium bodied sticky/resinous mouthfeel, with light grainy malt creaminess. Very dry and crisp finish; with zero lingering hop astringency. Hops are insanely bright and dank; tons of tropical complexity. Extremely drinkable. One of the best Short's beer's I've ever had for sure. Glad I got a whole 6 pack. Still got a few left
    [IMG]

Very nice old ale! Last year's batch, found some random singles today so I got one. Holding up extremely well. Flavors of caramel, honey, toasted biscuit, and light nutty malts; with some pear, apple, berry yeast fruits; spruce, herbal, grass, light pepper, and yeast earthiness. Light herbal/spicy balancing bitterness; medium bodied; creamy and slightly slick in the mouthfeel. Very smooth, 6.4%. Very impressed with this after the age, best by dating was March. Will definitely keep this beer on my radar in the future. Alaskan has always been fairly impressive for me, need to buy them more often; and I have been recently in the last month or two.

Still tasting awesome after nearly a year of age. Flavors of big milk/dark chocolate, cocoa, coffee, toasted dark bread, and light smoke/char; with moderate juicy/lightly tart blueberries. Balanced bittersweet creamy/silky finish. More pronounced fruit in the nose, but still a nice amount in the taste. Love this stuff every year. Looking forward to the stout releases this fall again. Hope they do all 5 of them this year. They only did a couple last fall, but I think it was because of expansion on their brewhouse equipment, because a couple others were released later on into 2016.

Beer #6. I enjoy both ipa's and (well-executed) pumpkin beers, but a pumpkin ipa is just weird. Even less then 2 months after brewing, this is all pumpkin and malt, with barely any discernable hop flavor. I'd be curious to taste a more hop-forward take on the style, though. (Such as @Sixpoint Autumnation, which I loved a few years back but is now, alas, retired.)

^^ This is is a vintage Yahtzee game, 1956 to be exact. When I saw it I could not pass it up. A nice twist playing with some old score cards and pieces!

Just started this game, so far I'm trying to knock out the top half. I love this new table, and love playing with someone I love (my beloved Ash).

Agree! 90 min IPA is a desert island beer for me. If you see DFH Squall IPA, though it has a limited release, grab more than one (I didn't). I forgot how damn good it is.
