Made a beer stop after my morning run and found some Founders that was delivered yesterday. A session coffee beer is the easiest way to describe it. While not a bad beer, it is rather bland and one dimensional with weak coffee taking center stage. I'll pass on this next time, step up in style and class and buy aged Stone Mocha if I want a coffee fix in something besides a stout. Now that was memorable!

Hey BA, got some Boston Butt on the grill since this morning for some pulled pork this evening. I made some of my (in my mind) world famous red slaw to go with the pork, now enjoying some Buffalo and BBQ wings & this 2Hearted for lunch.

I had to straighten my palate after the weak brown ale. Hmmm.…
    How would one accomplish that?
What would bring a wave a luscious bright hop notes with tropical and citrus fruits ?
What would enliven the palate feeling that all the papayas and pineapples and the mangoes are knocking your door?
My trusted and faithful hop delivery system from Monson, Massachusetts!
Pride and purpose... What a pale ale! At little over 2 weeks old, it has matured into a full flavored tropical hop assault. Perfectly balanced with a soft mouthfeel and dank hops coming through.
    Cheers.

Surprised how well balanced this is. Not over the top boozy or a malt bomb like I thought it would be. This is drinking great fresh, and wouldn't recommend aging at all.

Back to the fridge purge and something I didn't review from the Friends pack until today. While non of the beers from the pack were earth shattering, they were good and easy to drink. This Fat Wild Ale is no exception. A slightly sour candied fruit profile that is quite palate pleasing. In all I've enjoyed the trip!

Happy Wednesday, BA's! Late start for me, because I'm back at work, so that sucks, but the good news is: We are half way to Stein Club Sunday!!! Only 6 pages yesterday :grimacing:, so the Staff decided to have a little fun for todays Glass of the Day Awards! A few new winners, one obvious repeat offender, and we're gonna visit 2 polar opposite sides of the glassware spectrum today:wink:.

GotD: Cheers and congrats to your first GotD @nvbrew , for a fine North Coast fluted chalice, and cutting it close with almost the last post of the night!
2nd: Continuing with the chalice theme for today, @BeerVikingSailor (again !) for this wonderful Liefmans Jan van Gent glass. (A beer I've always wanted to try by the way.)
3rd: For the final chalice of the day, all the way from the Netherlands, @BJSmit for a proper Leffe post, and yet another beer I want to try, Leffe Royale!

Honorable mentions go to the other end of the spectrum: @Dragginballs76 , @HopHunter19 , and to @smakawhat for killing it with some fine clear plastic cups. (First time I've seen that many clear ones! No red or blue?!?! :grimacing::grinning:)
Cheers everyone, and I will see you all soon!

    GotD.

Interesting. Are you into sipping neat whiskey or bourbon? Just curious. I know the 120 minute batch sometimes has subtle variation but it's hard to imagine it being perfect fresh! Even DFH says "Ages well".
Having said that, your post is tempting me to crack into my 120 min stash, lol. Just to test your claim. No other reason

Is that homebrew? If so, you took it to the next level my friend!

"Stickers on a plain can? Pfffffff!!! I stick a plain label right over another breweries labeled bottle!"

Someone has got to take this concept to a production brewery.:grinning:

Young's Double Chocolate Stout. I think this was one of the first stouts I ever drank way back in the day. Good stout, I definitely appreciate it more now!

And, from Berkeley, Mr. Charlie Hunter! And super young Conan O'Brien!

I was gonna go to Yankees vs Dodgers w/Kershaw pitching but instead of $13 for a mediocre beer, i decided to stay home and enjoy elite beer like Watermelon Double Milkshake. Cheers
