    Rise and shine, BAs!
    There's beers to be drunk!
A rainy start to the day here in southern Maine. A tofu scramble with some Breakfast Stout will put me in the proper mindset.
    Cheers!

Good morning BA, have a great Sunday! I have a few errands to run this morning, and then laundry to finish out my weekend. My mom will be coming up in the next month or so, and giving me a second cat to watch when she goes back home for a bit(working out of state in ND). She has two cats, but if she brought them back to Ohio there would be 5 cats in the house because my sister owns 3 :grimacing:. My Uncle is taking one too, but I am taking the calmer one of the two. Wonder what Glacier will think about a female cat being in the apartment. The other one is male, so I don’t see much of an issue from the other cat’s perspective.

    Beers this morning:

Great English brown ale as usual. Flavors of big nutty medium roast coffee, caramel, brown sugar, toasted brown bread, and light chocolate; with a touch of herbal hops. Light herbal/roasted coffee bitterness; creamy medium-plus bodied mouthfeel. Always delicious, I keep grabbing more singles of it.

Excellent coffee DIPA. Flavors of big grapefruit, tangerine, pineapple, lemon zest, orange peel, and pine hops; with balanced medium roast coffee, cocoa, vanilla; caramel, toasted bread malt; and floral/grassy hop earthiness. Moderate pine/citrus peel and light roasted coffee bitterness on the finish. Medium-plus bodied; balanced sticky/resins and creaminess in the mouthfeel; with a touch of chalkiness from cocoa/coffee flavors. Light-moderate increasing resinous dryness; with zero astringency. Highly drinkable and minimal warming ABV. Pretty much perfectly balanced between cocoa/coffee and citrus/pine hop flavors. Will grab again before it goes away for the season.

My last bottle. Fantastic as usual. Big flavors of milk chocolate, cocoa, caramel, molasses, toasted bread, cinnamon, nutmeg, cardamom, clove, ginger, anise, vanilla, and oak; with lighter notes of bourbon, toffee, and coffee. Some light-moderate roast bitterness and bourbon/oak spice on the finish. Nearly full bodied; really nice creamy/silky mouthfeel; with some light sticky/chalky spice and roast character as well. This was one of my favorite variants so far. Really mellowed out nicely now to reveal more barrel character, but initially the spices did mask most of it. There is still some Stone Chai RIS around too. Still have other variants left to hold me over. A coconut rum barrel version will be coming in the next month or two.

My last bottle. Still mind blowing stuff! One of the best beers I’ve ever had when I reviewed it, and still tastes like it. Flavors of huge dark chocolate, cocoa, coffee, vanilla, toffee, molasses, whiskey, toasted oak, dark bread, chili pepper, and light dark fruits. Light-medium roast bitterness and oak spice; insanely creamy/silky and rich full body; with light roast chalkiness and spice stickiness. Minimal dryness and very smooth sipping. Interesting note now vs my review 7-8 months ago, the chilies seem to be more noticeable than I remember; but balance between the barrel, malt, and coffee/spice notes is still perfect. I really hope they release this again next year. Same with vanilla noir.

2015 homebrew American Wile Ale in the Flemish Tradition. Started out as an Emglish brown Ale. Primary Fermentation with Sach, pitched Wyeast Roselare and waited. Tons of cherry pie and Brett funk. Super dry (0.998 FG), a bit overcarbonated but a fantastic color. This was my last bottle from a 1 gallon batch. Time to brew again.
