I definiteley saw it on their old website layout. This was at least 4-6 months ago. It had all the beers separated by Bruery, and Terreux. Then under that it had all the beers anticipated to be released that year, and the ones released were crossed out, or they weren't in bold. The unreleased beers were listed in bold, or uncrossed out. Definitely saw it on their site.

I've never heard of this... maybe I just didn't ever look for it?

It was on The Bruery's web site for 2015 RS/HS members.

In 2016, since there was no advanced list of bottles we would receive, there is no 2016 list to put on the web site, to cross off the ones that were delivered.

I do recall seeing this on the first post of the 2015 RS/HS thread here.

They didn't release such a list in advance for 2016 (other than the included allocations).

I may not renew this year because of this, but if I do, I'm going to end up buying far less beer in 2017 as a result. As an out of stater I was heavily reliable on reviews from other people before deciding how much/what to buy.

I will 100% be buying much less beer because of this. Any of the ones I'm on the fence about I will probably pass on more than take a swing at because a ton of Bruery beers have started popping up all over the Philly area in the last year so I don't need to waste shipper space.

Haven't seen may reviews of this month's beers even (unless I missed them). That'll probably keep me from buy much of any of them honestly. It's a real issue. I guess there will be second chance sales, etc. and hopefully I won't miss something great but I don't want to risk buying something that's an awful waste.

Quite a few check ins/ratings for all the new beers on untappd, but most do not write a description, so hard to have any idea why they rate it as they do.

The only purpose of untapped is to let you friends know you are drinking while they are at work. It's not for beer reviews.

Renewing bruery, TRB, CASA and Libertine this month doesn't leave any money for allocations really. Would be nice if they opened renewals a few months earlier maybe and just made the window longer or something so we could stagger some of this stuff.

I'm not into sours, but I grabbed a Traveling Plum for my fiance and one for a coworker, and both raved about it. Lots of flavor, "spicing" is subdued and not weird, not aggressively sour. Also grabbed her a Wiki Wiki Tart which she said was very tasty but intensely sour (to the point that she could only finish about 80% of the bottle over the evening).

I had a chance to shoot over to the tasting room this afternoon to sample the allocations. My 2 cents:

    - The Traveling Plum - I thought the fruit/spices were nice and subtle. The aroma was pretty much a gose with a light fruit and a slight licorice scent (I hate licorice, but this one worked for me because it was so light). Overall an easy drinker.

    - The Grade - Wow!!! This smells like a big plate of pancakes drowning in maple syrup. I was expecting it to taste like a sugar bomb, but it actually had a nice light/smooth body. I also got a nice amount of roastiness too.

    - Rueminator - A very solid dopplebock with a the perfect amount of oak.

    - Rue Sans - Very grape forward. Less sour than a typical Bruery beer.

    - Hoarders Cuvee - I was a little surprised because it was lighter color than I expected for being half Black Tuesday. Very smooth for 18% ABV. I think that was in part due to the balance of raspberries and cocoa/vanilla that are nice additions.

And the other new beer for me:

    - Wiki Wiki Tart - This one looks beautiful. It has a light body with mild sourness along with some raspberry in the background. This one should do well at TJ's (or the beach!), especially given the price point.

Count me in as another person who was impressed with The Traveling Plum! It's a little on the bizarre side at first, but it's quite refreshing and I found myself wanting much more of it. Rue Sans was also very tasty, but not as good of a value. With an overflowing cellar I'm a lot more picky than I use to be, but I'll be purchasing a couple bottles of The Traveling Plum for certain.

Always know that I am huge fan of The Bruery and rarely throw shade, but the recent Tasting Room email was advertising BA Beer Day and it said:

    MARK YOUR CALENDARS
It only comes once a year: on the first Friday of October. Whether it’s a spirit-aged ale, a sour beer, or a wine & beer hybrid you’re savoring from the barrel, raise a snifter with us as we celebrate the beautiful spectrum of flavors that can be enjoyed on Barrel-Aged Beer Day on October 7.

We will have special, limited public bottle releases in both Tasting Rooms including the following (list subject to change):

    The Bruery Tasting Room:
    - White Chocolate (2016)
    - So Happens It's Tuesday (2016)
    - White Mocha

    Bruery Terreux Tasting Room:
    - Oude Tart (2016)
    - The Wanderer (2014)
    - Sourrento (2014)

I thought White Mocha was a Society Exclusive......Anyone?

Sounds like their new philosophy is sell it instead of holding it. Which I can't blame them. Who knows how long they held on to things for a special event only to have it not come and have to throw away the beer.

It does say "limited" so who knows what that means. After all, don't they do a lottery each year where a handful of non-members get a chance to buy Black Tuesday?

Last year, they did do the traditional lottery first that allowed sales to the winners, who were not necessarily society members (though society members could double dip by entering the lottery and winning). During the Christmas sales, however, it was available for public purchase through their web store for anyone who happened to look, albeit without much advertising.
