Anyone know if CBC is cool w/filling other brewery branded growlers at the release?

Is Creeper slated for distro next week? I saw CBC brewed the Yakima Fresh yesterday, can expect to see that in 3-4 weeks.

Supposed to be extremely limited distribution. I'd expect a few finer bottle shops around town to get it, but it'll be hard to find.

According to the email I received, they will fill other growlers. 64 oz only, though.

So unlike Bodhi, it's not based on CBC sale volume of their other beers?

Sunday Mole Stout, Deschutes Sagefight IPA (brewed with sage and juniper berries - yes please) and Four String Rectifier DIPA in tall boys (delicious double) all arrived at GE Market District Grandview today. My lunches are getting expensive.

'Champion Ground' hitting distro at the end of the month... Sometimes I'm critical of Jackie O's, but that beer is just straight ridiculous.

Creeper distro will be similar to Bodhi, except a one time bottling versus Bodhi's "every few weeks" bottling. Don't take this as an exact distro list, but I'd suggest looking at the same places that receive Bodhi.

And yes, we'll fill other growlers. Plus we will have growlers for sale at the brewery. 64oz only.

Curious as to why It's 64oz only for a 10% beer?

^ funny that's the one thing you caught from his post. Is the extra 2% abv really going to deter you from getting a growler fill?

I see Creeper kegs have already hit at least two places I frequent (Ray's Place Fairlawn and Lizardville)--that's a crazy fast turn around.

honestly, yes. I love Creeper, but a 64oz growler would may way too much for one sitting for me personally. and 64oz of 8% bodhi would be too much as well. I understand it's probably to make things simpler for the event and I'm okay with that, just curious why it wouldn't be 32oz only is all.

Keep in mind we do not have a taproom. This is all set up in the middle of our warehouse. In order to handle the transactions, we're selling one color token for regular pours and another color token for growler fills. So it's one price point for all growlers. Tokens will be purchased at one location, and then u get your growler filled at the growler station, etc.

That and 32oz growlers are a pain in the ass

Those are all kegs from last month's batch. We literally just bottled and kegged this batch today

Wow, sure is a fitting name for this beer :stuck_out_tongue: I don't think I've ever seen Creeper around here ever although I'm sure it has been around, I just wasn't fast enough to see it.

I drank a 64oz growler of Creeper at my clambake last year. I probably could've pissed my pants and people would've thought, "Yeah, that's appropriate."

One time I polished off a 64 oz Bodhi by myself in one sitting and woke up on the floor with beer barf on my couch. I no longer buy full-size growlers of dipas.

Seriously?!? You do know that they make 32 oz growlers with the EXACT same mouth opening and growler shape as the most commonly used 64 oz versions? Most places that fill the 32 oz version tell me they are no different and are easier than the 64 oz due to less liquid loss.

Just messing around, but joking aside, if the growler is filled properly, drink half in one sitting, screw the cap back on real tight and have the other half another time. I did that with a 64oz growler of Bodhi that was filled very poorly and didn't notice much of a decline in the second sitting. Its still worth it for Creeper.

I took down a 32oz growler of Creeper a couple months ago while watching Mr. Robot. I thought I was going crazy but turns out Mr. Robot was the crazy one. Phew.

Sooooo I heard we will be seeing 4pks and 750ml bottles of Founders CBS at the end of next year. Founders is dropping the Backstage Series and going with the Barrel Aged Series. Next year should one hell of a year for Founders!
