Is the actual event ticketed or can you just show up? I know the few places in the NE are all ticketed and sell out way in advance.

It's not ticketed. forget but it's like first 150 in line can get a pour of Zwanze + another cantillon for $20. The next 150 can get a pour of cantillon for like $15 (both come with a glass). The bottle share is usually pretty epic. Also special taps and bottles of cantillon usually for sale on-site. Could be off on numbers and price but not that far off

Believe it or not this thread, appropriately titled, "GABF 2016" has a lot of useful information and links that will answer your questions.

I'm actually attending this year (as opposed to just volunteering). Who's going on Friday to the food pairing thing?

Am curious about the food thing. That's always RAR beer for me, but it seems like a neat event.

I don't know how they do things in Alabama, but in this here state we can do both Rare Beer and GABF in the same day. :sunglasses:

That's like implying that the Big 12 can play football. Sure they can...but...

We're probably skipping it this year due to time constraints, but last year it was one of the highlights of the week for @Jason and I. Low key and the pairings were delicious.

Will be attending GABF for the first time this year (Saturday member session) and am stoked!

We're hitting Boulder, Ft. Collins, and Greeley, before Denver, so can anyone recommend a good (sports) beer bar in Boulder to watch the NL Wild Card game Wednesday night?

I'd go for Backcountry for best beer. Not a sports bar exactly, but they have several TVs by the bar and will have a killer tap list. Otherwise, unless Boulder BAs can correct, you'd go somewhere like Lazy Dog - true sports bar with a million TVs, but you sacrifice on the beer.

Quick question. Heading up Wednesday for my first GABF. Just wanted to know if they will allow a Camelback if I bring it in empty. Looking at what's allowed they say no LARGE backpacks. Mine is very close to the 6x6x18 inches they say they allow. How big of sticklers are they about this? Figured I could kill two birds with one stone. A bag for shwag and water to drink. Anyone?

I'm planning on going to the bottle releases at Crooked stave (Tuesday and wednesday) and Black Project (Saturday morning) and this is my first time in Denver ever. I'm wondering whether bottle shares are allowed at these releases? I'm trying to figure out basically if I should bring bottles with me to Denver or not.

(I moved your post into the right forum and thread.)

GABF has a website, with an FAQ. I'd check it. They've also circulated the following:
