    Hey Guys!!!

Finally having dinner (well this used to be normal for me) and made 2 batches of tacos. This batch was made with a fajita sauce packet that included roasted chili, garlic and lime to which I added chopped up chili peppers. Drinking this bottle of '15 Boulevard Smokestack Series Aztec Chocolate Stout which came all the way from @JayWhitson!!!!!!! And of course, in my Smokestack glass!

I think I will skip rating this. I see 123015 on the neck and there's no hop aroma. I taste some citrus hops, but I have to think this is past its prime. Working on my buddy in Philly on importance of IPA freshness. Think I have a couple more old ones to work through.

Totally agree on the can. I think it is that matte gold finish. I love it.

And I think I'm glad that I never had the old version of Navaja. I have heard that from a couple people. I was just able to enjoy it for what it is.

Most likely yes! And there's more where that came from so you can have more!

I get Big Sky here in Texas. I love Moose Drool. I'll have to see if we get Pack Train here.

Amazing Gose as always. Flavors of big sour cherry, lemon, lime, green apple, wheat, cracker, coriander, sea salt, herbal, grass, and yeast earthiness. Nice sized fruity/lactic sour finish; balanced cherry/lacto acidity, salinity, and light grainy wheat creaminess in the mouthfeel. Highly drinkable despite higher acidity. I wish this was year round. So much fantastic sour cherry flavor for the low ABV. I still have another 4 pack left, but there is still some on the shelf surprisingly, will likely buy more.

Great coffee IPA. Flavors of medium roast coffee, grapefruit, lemon zest, orange peel, pineapple, mango, citrus rind, and pine; with some light caramel/toasted bread malt; with floral/grassy hop earthiness and light chocolate/vanilla notes from the coffee. Moderate pine/rind and light roasted coffee bitterness; with a sticky/resinous mouthfeel; with some light chalkiness and bready creaminess. Moderate dryness. Extremely well balanced between coffee and hop flavors. I am amazed how well Short's hoppy beers hold up. This was bottled in January, still tasted great.

Incredible as usual. Flavors of grapefruit, tangerine, pineapple, peach, mango, lemon zest, orange peel, habanero pepper, and pine; with some light-moderate honey/light caramel malts; with floral/grassy hop, and herbal pepper earthiness. Good amount of pine/grassy bitterness and pepper spice on the finish; very smooth finish with moderate stickiness from hop/pepper resins. Moderate dryness from bitterness/spice as well. Increasing lingering heat on the finish from peppers. I always throw this into mix six packs on a regular basis. All of the great hop complexity of the base beer with a nice big kick of pepper spice/heat. Never been overwhelming for me, but I can totally see why a lot of people think it is. My monthly hot sauce intake is at least a liter.

Awesome as usual, glad it's in 4 packs this year. Flavors of big pumpkin, pumpkin seeds, gingerbread, nutmeg, brown sugar, cinnamon, toasted pie crust, caramel, cocoa, and light coffee. Balanced roasted bitterness and spices on the finish against sweetness. Medium-full bodied creaminess; with light chalky roast and spice stickiness. Lightly drying. While I do agree this is not really much of a stout on the roast spectrum, you still do get a solid amount of roasted qualities; with the classic Pumking flavors in the forefront. Still not near my overall opinion of regular Pumking; but I am a big fan. Will definitely pick up more Blackwater 4 packs in the future.

A lot of things I despise about living in my small town in Oklahoma, but doing this stuff is a breeze. If I've ever had to wait more than 10 minutes its because I showed last day of the month or some other reason that didn't take into account my fellow man...

That looks really good. Might I suggest throwing a little dark lager like Negra Modelo or Shiner Bock in with the taco meat right after you're done browning. I let it reduce almost entirely so I'm just left with the flavor.

As it should have a very tasty easy drinking Double IPA if that makes sense. Have you tried Red Lodge Broken Nail Double IPA ? It is their seasonal and very under rated .

In '95-96 I was in 6th grade. (Wow) My two favorite albums at the time were Mellon Collie and The Infinite Sadness and The Blue Album. Now I'm drinking beer while listening to The Blue Album on vinyl. I'm timeless, obviously.

I had never seen this video, but I clearly remember the summer that this song was charting high enough to be on the radio all the time. Let's hear it for us old fart LNBAs :grinning:
