Back on topic :sunglasses:...Pipeworks/TG collab brew! Hopefully it hits some Iowa distribution.

TG Twitter indicated that there were some leftover MD bottles for sale at the taproom on Tuesday. Did anyone get lucky? Surprised no one said a peep about it on any of these forums.

Sounds like the TG/Pipeworks beer being brewed today is going to be a double dry-hopped Double IPA with Habanero called Double Creature Feature.

I can tolerate peppers in a heavy stout. I have never had a pepper IPA that I didn't ultimately pour out.

Yep. Love spicy food but in liquid form it does not sit well. Mango Habenero Oberon for example, I did not enjoy at all. To those that do like spicy beers, hope it's a good one!

Yup, typically I dislike spicy foods and drinks, but Mexican Cake was amazing and I'm always on the hunt for more.

I'm going to say say $20 max....no way it gets that high....a pepper IIPA beer can only attract so much...I mean Sculpting Habenero was ok.... UT I regret getting a sixer....

And not to mention that Pipeworks hasn't ever charged that much for a beer, even their BA offerings. If this one is being brewed at their facility and will see distribution here, I can't see it going as high as $20. Too many other good options around here.

Yeah, I expect no more than $12-13. TG bombers are $10ish for the likes of King Sue and SoSus. Lesser ones are $6-8. PW is max $12 for an IIPA.

So Madison saw King Sue distro apparently. Maybe Des Moines will see a case or two

I think there is zero relation between self distributed Wisconsin and Johnson here in Iowa. I was just up at Cassanovas, and it was will stocked with any recent TG bomber. I was jelly. Hasn't seen stock like that since I was in the taproom. They have seen king sue before. I don't think Iowa had ever seen distro of King Sue since at least 2014.

King hit Madison yesterday at 3-4 stores I buy stuff from. I was at TG on Sunday, and was very surprised at the amount they had. My brother and I were able to pick up a case each, no issue at all.

Agreed, the distro situation in Iowa is disappointing. Both keg and bottles. Even when we get bombers in Des Moines it is usually 3 or 4 weeks after bottling and I get the impression that we get what hangs around in the taproom and doesn't sell quickly.
