New to Ohio (2016)

This place is fucking goofy.

 

I honestly think because of Hoof's lower frequency releases, a single thread worked find. Same with Jackie O's really. They're not like Tree House and Tired Hands having multiple, high demand releases of unique brews multiple days a week, changing daily.

I'm also a little concerned about the higher visibility the new thread for Hoof will create, when they really don't have the capacity to handle large releases, especially with the one upcoming next week. Although, with social media and word of mouth tons of people are already aware of it at this point.

And putting quotes around 'shitshow' is right on...I really hate the overuse of that term in the beer world for anything that slightly irritates a particular individual more than another.

 

Not that I agree w Todd but the Hoof Hearted one got out of control on multiple occasions.

 

Don't give em any ideas! This thread is very useful for in state distro news. We've got a very rabid consumer base here and shit disappears ridiculously fast.

Hey man, I'm drinking another bottle right now and it's great, but I can't help but think fresh pumpkin guts and cantaloupe when taking in a big whiff, yet the taste is more tropical. It's very unique. Can you say what mix of hops were used in this bottled batch?

 

Hrmmm more eyeballs and awareness =/= lower trade value.

 

I tend to refrain from posting in these threads, for reasons such as the entire current page of this thread; but i read Shelton was getting some limited amount of BA Vanilla Shake to distro in the states. Anyone heard if Ohio will be getting any (label approval)? If not, i'll hopefully drink my share later this month in Louisville.

 

To add onto this, has anyone heard about Ohio getting Michigan Maple Jesus?

Read that there will be only 72 cases total for the whole u.s

 

Not sure what info is accurate, but I read that it will be full distro, but in limited amounts with most going to MI and NY. 880 total cases bottled I believe.

 

I also read full distro. New Jersey got it already, but supposedly NY will see most of it. There's a distributor issue in Michigan to where this thing could be $25-$30 a bottle. I remember seeing Evil Twin The Perfect Nose there for $42 a bottle. Yikes. I wasn't sure if we'd see it so I traded for one.

Any one excited about CLE beer week? If so, what events will you be attending and why? (If it's not obvious) the Cantilion event is the only thing that really jumped out at me. Wonder if it will be a shit show. I mean 'shit show'. Haha
