I'm not going to lay out loads of rules. Other than 4% ABV is the upper limit.

    My suggestion:

    Tetley's Mild

Restricting my post to large breweries who distribute locally my answer is Victoria from Grupo Modelo in Mexico.

I'm not sure if you'd consider these large breweries or not but these are pretty good

Ballast Point Mango Even Keel - 3.8%
    Evil Twin Bikini Beer/Sour Bikini - 2.7% and 3%

    Good thread.

Laying out my own rules and limiting myself to a US brewery that has a decent distribution footprint across multiple states AND bottles/cans the low ABV beer... I'd go with Smuttynose Hayseed. It's not the greatest 2.0-4.0% beer, but by my own tastes and criteria it's a good 'un.

Off the top of my head...
    Fuller's Chiswick
Tim Taylor Boltmaker/Best Bitter (is that a large brewery?)
    Orkney The Red MacGregor

Victory Uncle Teddy's Bitter my favorite choice at the brewery.

A close one would be Yards Brawler, although it is .2 above the og abv ceiling.

One is draft only from a large brewer and the other is bottled and distributed from a mid size operation.

Some of you people have a strange notion of what is a large brewery.

I'll go for the Swedish Carnegie Porter, the 3.5% version that is sold in grocery stores rather than the alcohol monopoly stores.

Fuller's HSB on cask must be under 4%. It's absolutely sublime when in good condition but I've had indifferent ones too, a bit like with ESB. From the bottle it's nothing.
