tomorrow. Any chance I can score some Heist cans in or near downtown? Appreciate any suggestions. Also, if there is other stuff I should go for, I welcome additional recommendations.

    Thanks.

Heist releases cans (about) once a month and thy sell out in hours. The last release was Sept 23 so the next one will probably be Oct 21 at the earliest.

Your best bet to get Heist cans is to set up an IP trade.

You can always get crowlers of anything they have on at the brewery though.

No Heist cans anywhere. Brewery is a short Uber from downtown though. As mentioned above, you can get a crowler fill of anything they have on draft. However I don't see and NEIPA's on the list right now but that can change as they usually have one on for the weekend. They go through these very quickly and are typically out by Monday.

Head over to Wooden Robot for their hazy IPA "What He's Having V.15" No crowlers tho.

okay, good to know beforehand so I don't start off on a wild goose chase. I can sneak a growler or two home in my suitcase. Thanks for the responses.

Grab some GABF silver medal winning Olde Hickory Event Horizon (BA Imperial Stout). Should still be on shelves at some bottle shops. Noda is releasing their wet hop today (no idea if its good or not but getting good reviews on untappd). I really dig Birdsong Jalapeno PA. Triple C's barrel aged stuff is usually good. If your from Philly you can skip the Wicked Weed but if your from outside Philly, grab all the WW sours you can afford! If you can find some Fonta Flora bottles, grab those as well (likely only found at Good Bottle or Salud). Their beers sound weird as shit but they are typically fantastic.

Thanks. Can you offer a suggestion as the best bottle shop to hit near downtown? Last time I was there a few years ago, I took a 10 minute cab ride to a strange little bottle shop/deli. It was pretty cool inside but the location didn't seem that great. No WW in Pittsburgh so that's on my list.

That strangle little bottle shop (Salud) and Good Bottle Co are still the closest full fledged bottle shop. One is an 5 min Uber, one is light rail. You could Uber to Brawleys as well but is further.
Salud is a nano-brewery now and is near Heist. Good Bottle is in South End and within a mile or so of a handful of breweries (Triple C, Sycamore, Olde Meck, Lenny Boy, Wooden Robot)

Not sure if we are the strange place but we are located in the NODA arts district near HeisT. We have our full inventory on our website saludbeershop.com.

I bet it was the plaza midwood Common Market. "Strange deli" fits the bill.

Yeah your probably right! I never think of CM (either location) as a bottle shop, more of a place to grab a beer.

Yes, I think that's the place but maybe the patio wasn't there then? Pics inside look about right. I remember walking in and finding multiple cases of HDR on the floor within weeks of its gold medal. I thought I hit the mother load. My how a lot has changed since then. Thanks for the tips everyone. I'll report back on my grab.

The wet hop beer NoDa released yesterday at the brewery is quite good and worth picking up.

If you have the chance, hit Brawley's on Park Rd. You'll not regret stopping in. Great retail shop and place to have a few. Very nice people...... Also, while you're at it, tell Cam Newton to get well, stop posing and farting around, and get to playing some damned FOOTBALL!

Agreed - both are cool - but Salud is my favorite of the two.

I hit Salud. Great place for sure. They were super nice. I was in a rush and had two crowlers of Heist in my suitcase so I only grabbed a couple bottles. I was bumping against my checked bag limit.

Thanks for all the tips. Looks like you have a great scene in Charlotte and NC generally.
