I also paid $10 each for the Jolly, which is not bad considering I am in Northern Wyoming...

Could just be normal price. I think the last time I recall seeing 12oz individual bottles from Odell was more than a decade ago, so I don't know why I expected it to cost less.

In any case, Jolly Russian was great!

I heard that it is the same as Russian Pirate but they got a C&D from a spirit purveyor for that name

Wanna say that I grabbed a bottle for $9, but it was GABF week and, uh, prices weren't really being paid attention to...

Standard mark up puts it @ $9.29 per bottle. $10 is a little high on the margin.

Having a Jolly Russian right now, very very nice brew. Highly Recommended!

    Cheers!

Is Mtn Standard around the Denver Metro yet? The new cans look sweet.

I'll answer my own question. Yes it is around and pretty good. I honestly prefer Black Eddy but it is still good. I love that Odell is canning now.

Wanted to bump this and see if there are other black IPAs floating around I should pick up. I grabbed the Eddyline and have really enjoyed it. Looking like I'll have to pick up Sir Joshua from Odd13, has anyone had this one? Anything else I should look for?

I have some Sir Joshua. It is very tasty but be warned it is not like most black IPAs I have had. It has the look of a black IPA (definitely black) but taste more like there normal offering smooth, nice hop presence, haze. I enjoyed it but I also am not the biggest fan of Black IPAs. I fine some too chocolate malty and it clashes with the hops.

Sir Joshua is an excellent black IPA, in my opinion. I don't drink them much these days, but I really dug sir Joshua. Great balance of hops and roast. Definite NE IPA undertones hidden in the black, and very flavorful for 6%.
