Saw Founders has released Harvest Ale from the brewery. Stopped by a store in Indy last night and they said they think they'll have it Friday. Anyone seeing it yet? If so, what's the going price this year?

I can't answer either of your questions but can someone confirm that they remember this being not great last year? This used to be one of my favorite beers but the 4 pack I bought last year had a very mild aroma and was more malty than hoppy. Do we all agree with my assessment or am I nuts?

It was dogshit compared to the year before. Idk what they did but it was incredibly weak. It also took my area more than a month after bottling to get it. 2014 I bought a case. 2015 I bought one 4pack and wasn't happy with that.

I don't remember it being malty (or "dogshit" :grinning:). But I don't like this one as much as other fresh hop beers. Personally, I think the amped up hopping (and higher malt profile) that an IPA requires sort of drowns out those awesome green flavors of the fresh hops.

Works much better in Pale Ales in my experience.

I only had one 4 pack last year, and my feelings were the same. Its usually my favorite wet hop IPA from the midwest, I didn't think it was great. But I bought it a bit after the release at a crappy local corner store and assumed that had part to do with it (was on the top shelf in a lot of light). So I can't judge based on that.

Had one this evening. Bottles 10/3/2016. Very fresh, very nice. I was a little surprised at the $13 out the door price for a four pack (seemed high to me). This was my first wet hopped IPA. Very well done by Founders. Worth the price.

Harvest Ale was my gateway IPA, I wasn't a fan until I tried this and really enjoyed it. It hit Michigan this week and I'll be trying one from my 4-pack after work.

$13 is a bit high, but I've been forced to pay that before since it flies off the shelf pretty quickly. Hopefully I can avoid that this year.

The ABV is 7.6 % this year, what did it used to be a few years back?

Picked up a 4 pack today at a Binny's in the burbs. Had a stack of about 8 cases so I'm thinking should be easy to get for those so inclined. 12.99 per.
