2016 Surly Darkness

I don't remember what it was, but I was 'in bed' by 9:30PM two years ago & never heard any of the 163 text messages buzzing right next to my head asking "Where the hell are you?"

 

No mosquitos tho

 

Weird. So does that mean your spot is open in the line?

That means there will be about 100 open spots in line.

 

I'm already waiting in line. Little chilly.

 

I was off a day. Pretty small bottle share last night, but more cars seem to be coming in, but they look like they're going to work or something.

 

They are probably disguised as workers so they can get the first spots!

 

not sure how to take that one.

 

I applied for a job at one of the businesses a week ago hoping they would hire me in time. I figured I could ditch out at lunchtime and be first line. I also signed a one-year lease at the sketchy apartments across the street, so I have a private bathroom for tonight.

• DON’T SHOW UP IN THE INDUSTRIAL PARK BEFORE 3:30pm on Friday! If you do, we will ask you to leave. Neighboring businesses will still be open and we NEED to respect their space and employees.

I've read here, on Facebook, & heard my friends talking about "getting in line" earlier than 3:30 PM. If the past years are any guide, there will be volunteers manning barricades going into the industrial park, & no, you can't get in until 3:30PM.

Feel free to show up for the fun as early as you like, but don't expect to "get in line" or enter the industrial park until 3:30 PM. I know most of us know this, but there are always those new to the fun.

Glad I took a half-day off. My attention span is for shit.

How crazy is Darkness Day Eve at Stub and Herbs? Do the biggest of the big beers kick in minutes? Would love to try the 2008 BCBS tonight.

 

Would almost guarantee that'll last longer than Vanilla Rye .

 

Last year BCBCS lasted ~90 minutes, if I remember correctly

As I also suck, heres a list of beers bringing that isnt going into a spreadsheet: black tuesday reserve, dragontraxx, eclipse vanilla, war mullet, alpine bad boy, permanent funeral, blackheart, midnight still cherry, ba big sound, jester king wunderkind, modern times ba coffee, and a variety of hoppy ne cans

 

Would love to try the BTR. I have a cooler of various Trillium, a double Citra Pseudo (yeah, I know it is 5 months old), Rum King cans, X-Hops Silver.
