So it is officially not Summer anymore, and as we had originally posted that our 16 oz cans would be coming out in Summer of 2012, well......here we are. That is the bad news. The good/great news is that our install and first run of cans is scheduled for a week from today, the 29th of September. We will have a few weeks, meaning a few runs, to put some sort of inventory together for the retail debut of our cans, which will be on the 13th of October @ our 5th Year of Beer fest here in Belfast, Maine. beeradvocate.com/events/info/56621 Thanks to all for being so very patient. This has been an extremely frustrating experience, but also one that helps us learn how to work better with suppliers moving forward. Sarah and I anticipate going forward that we will focus on cans being available through our brewery store & tasting room, and then adding retail locations as we can meet demand. Please contact us through this forum, [email protected], or stay in touch through social media as we will use facebook & twitter to announce what variety is canned on a certain week and where it is available. Again, thanks for staying tuned and interested. This next week is indeed the culmination of over 5 years of work. Wicked cheers! David Carlson Marshall Wharf Brewing Co Belfast, Maine
Will tickets for the 5th Year of Beer be available to purchase online or do you just show up and pay on the 13th?
Canner install and training complete. 80,000 cans in stock. We are commencing canning and will release, hopefully, three different batches of cans @ 5th year of Beer on the 13th. www.craftbeermaine.com/marshall-wharf-brewing-co-craft-beer-first-cans-arrive/ Wicked cheers! David
Nice... I'll be buying some cans while I''m there attending the 5th year of beer celebration. Looking forward to another great night on the Wharf.
Will tickets for the 5th Year of Beer be available to purchase online or do you just show up and pay on the 13th? We do not pre-sell tickets, and there has not been a problem with that in the past. Cash gets you in the gate faster than plastic. Also we have a free van shuttle within Belfast and to all the hotels, which are filling up fast. We have blocked out a bunch of rooms at the closest motel to us if anyone is in need.
