Anyone over there still? Tasting room still packed?

 

I heard its not that bad right now, all the can crowd are off at Fed Ex. LA Hat on tap and ya gotta grab a growler of Gone Glorious while its still on, I filled up last night and it is Glorious indeed.

I agree, just keep the limits down and more people will be happy. I missed out on the single IPA of MFCL because they set limits at 6packs pp, yet I was able to score the double IPA of MFCL the next day at 9PM because they lowered the limit to 3packs pp.

Just curious for anyone who got cans today, were they still scanning/taking down ID info to prevent people from getting back in line?

 

I didn't get scanned but it was after they cut the limit so they could have did that because there wasn't anyway I'd get anything if I got back in line

 

there's no way other than visually for them to tell who is double dipping. I really think that giving that lead time of posting it around noon-1pm and having a set time of 5 made the difference opposed to the other times the weekday release sales happened and the window was about an hour. It seemed like if you give folks any time to really get their mule game on point, they will come out in full force.

They should start with smaller amounts for sale and ramp up closer to close. Allows them to control the sale window a bit better and keeps traders on premise gambling to score more later.

 

Dammit so bummed I completely missed this release

 

Tasting room was a zoo, but still managed to grab a pint of LA Hat (and saw a couple lawnchairs folded up against the wall). LA Hat was great. Citra was big, and it was all juice (if you're into that sorta thing).

 

I didn't get any cans... all I have to comfort me is a bottle of Amalgamator.

 

Missed out on cans yesterday but LA Hat still on tap and tasting great! Tap room nice and peaceful at the moment.

hi - going to be in the area this Wed through Monday. I see Monkish is having a release on Sunday. It looks like Sunday releases are rare, but what is the scene like on Saturday releases? Just trying to gauge whether I want to even broach this with my wife.... thanks.

 

Whoa, there is a release on sunday.

• NEXT WEEKEND, on SUNDAY OCTOBER 23rd, we will have another special release. We would have done it on the 22nd to keep our Saturday tradition, but we will be out of town for Funkendank in Santa Rosa. So...we are driving back immediately following the fest to get some beer in your hands! More info to come as we work out the plan!

You'll need to be there 3-4 hours before they open if you want to get anything.

 

Depending how special it is people could line up at closing the night before. Getting there at 5am on a Saturday release wouldn't even guarantee a full alottment

Alluded to it in the post about L.A. Hat last Friday as well.

But to @taestee: May be best to avoid the line for cans and just head over to the tasting room in the afternoon for a pint of the same beer. Smog City is right down the street and Phantom Carriage is not too far either if you want to avoid the line-related crowd earlier.

 

As long as every pipes down and doesn't post about it on IG there should be no chairs. Yeah right.
