I understand the concept, but it seems a little unnecessary. I don't really notice much change in my beers temperature, except with stouts and that's generally a positive.

Very true. I always enjoy that as my stouts temp increases new flavors present themselves.

    • Part of the experience of drinking a beer is that it warms a bit and opens up. Enjoy everything about it.
    • It's just 12 ounces... seriously?
    • "Show me the money!" - this is just as gimmicky as those stones they sell to put in your whiskey.
    • Who wants to be the A-hole carrying these around to put in his beer? It reminds me of James Garner's line to Jack Lemmon in "My Fellow Americans"... "Decaf?! You *****."

This may have more appeal to folks that sip (not slam) AAL's. Could see these sweeping wave like over suburbia BBQ's and Cul-de-Sac parties........

I'm sorry but this product is inane. That video did make me laugh a bit though.

    "Hey, what'll be?"
"Well, that Belgian Ale sounds good. I'll have one please."
    "Sure, be right back."
<frantically searches pockets for Belgian Ale Beer Bit>
"Uh, sir. I seem to have left my Belgian Ale Beer Bit at home. I do have my Stout Beer Bit with me, however. I'll go with the stout instead."
"Sure, no problem. Here is your stout." <places snifter in front of patron>
"Hmm, my Stout Beer Bit doesn't really fit in a glass like that. Any chance you can pour it into a regular pint glass? Thanks."

I couldn't even make it through the first 30 seconds of that video. It's pretentious enough without the borderline-fake accent. This is why people can't stand beer 'snobs'.

I really hope this doesn't get kickstarted. Not out of spite, mind you, but because if this comes out, you just KNOW there will be well-meaning, but uninformed family members getting us these for the holidays.

    nope, not for me

also i could see after a few uses and scratches, you'll have a ton of nucleation sites that would create a foamy mess

You make a great point about the increase in temperatures of stouts as a positive and our Stout Beer Bit is actually engineered to increase the temperature of your beer. If you just pull a stout out of fridge, it takes over 30 minutes for it to reach 55 degrees in a glass. Interestingly enough, stouts are actually my favorite style of beer and I am confident my fellow stout drinkers will love the product as much as I do. Cheers! - Nick

We are sorry that the video came across as pretentious. Also, I can tell you that the accent is actually the authentic accent of my girlfriend and we are very confident that beer drinkers alike are going to love the product! Cheers! -Nick
