I've been wondering...I notice a lot of people using / complaining about TinyPic and going back to PB. I've never had an issue with PB. Is there something or things better about TinyPic? Never tried it, just curious.

Are you also 'that guy' hiding the 95+ BA rated beers and giving out the Bud and Heineken to your pals when they come over ?

I switched to TinyPic over a year ago when the Bucket had a major crash. Since I post exclusively from my iPhone, I found TinyPic much easier to use as it's just another keyboard on the screen. There's no going back and forth between sites to copy and post and probably takes half the time. I've had to bone up on my old school Bucket skills the past couple of days!

I've been drinking widely across Jack's Abby's range the past few weeks. They're all really good lagers, but across the board, regardless of ABV, I get the slightest bit of what seems like alcohol burn at the back of my throat. It's understandable in a Doppelbock, but it's weird in a Helles. I get it here, too. Still a very enjoyable beer.

You can call it light gold or polished copper but either descriptor works for this very appealing color tone. Moderate cap and very little lacing, much like some British Ales.

Aroma is on the richer side of the malt spectrum without stepping over into cloying sweetness territory. Little hops apparent, just a hint, but at 15 IBU that's to be expected.

Taste is ahh, that's good. Having been let down by earlier versions of this label this new one from their revamped brewery is in the WOW category. Rich malt on entry but it's a clean malt without over sweetness or the slight bitterness of mid roasted malt. Rich like a perfectly made pastry that doesn't go overboard in any direction. Just one hop variety is used, German Perle, and just enough of that to offset the malt while still presenting a mild hit of spicy, floral background. Much like the painted backdrop in the one room set of a one act play, it's ever present without intruding into the main action taking place on stage. Promoted as a food beer by the brewery I believe they have a winner.

Texture is full. Over the years I've had some Maibocks that seemed sorta lumpy in their heaviness but this one is full while singing the high notes.

This is far, far better than the earlier version put out by Covington Brewhouse. It is so much better in fact that it's not an exaggeration to say it's a different beer entirely. I understand this one is gaining in popularity in the local places as a good accompaniment with food and can see why. It simply works that way on so many levels in that it won't be overcome by hearty, smoky bbq dishes, spicy Cajun or Asian, nor will it dominate a simple Fettuccine Alfredo. I can confidently state it works well with hickory smoked bacon cheeseburgers. I rank right it up there with Bells Amber with a bit more flavor and a lot more punch.

Nothing silly about this beer (OK, maybe the label is a bit on the silly side), just brewed in the town of Silly, Belgium. It's a mix of 13% dark Saison with 87% of soured ale. Listed as "Saison/Farmhouse Ale" on BeerAdvocate, I'm not sure this is best descriptor of this particular beer. But it was definitely delicious.

Everybody wanna steal my girl. Everybody wanna take her heart away. In this case, BAs, the "girl" is my IPA. Find another one, cuz she belongs to me!

Hunter: I'm going to write a song for this double dry hopped.
Trillium: Oh, yeah? What are you thinking?
Hunter: Something that One Direction can sing.
    Trillium: No...
    Hunter: But my words...
Trillium: Eh, how about a rapper?
Hunter: I'll get Danny DeVito in the video.
    Trillium: Done.
