Bad Trader @DSho

I was just thinking how this forum had been relatively quite for awhile and all of the sudden a new thread was popping up every day.
Now I know why, one man crime wave.

Yea it sucks for the guys that shipped out. After doing a little research and based on his criminal temperament I don't know if it's a great idea or if anyone would get anywhere by confronting this guy....with that being said I say we come together as a beer trading community and try to get some sort of replacements to the guys that got screwed over by this POS.

If we come up with a list, maybe some of these bottles or cans can be recovered for these guys. I hate to see this happen especially since I love beer trading. I would love to help out in this matter.

I suggest that those of you who got screwed put this out in some of the Facebook groups. I wouldn't be surprised if there are others who this guy dicked over or is in the process of dicking over

Yea but I doubt he'll address this forum, he isn't trying to make any of this right. Just running a scam to steal beer.

 

Forum needs a feature to restrict people's access to only this forum when bad trader tag is slapped on. But the clock is ticking, mods do a great job of keeping tabs on these threads and bringing down the hammer if bad trader doesn't appear.

 

I like this idea.

@Todd is it possible to have a script to restrict access to this forum when the bad trader tag is applied or is that a manual option that only folks with admin access can implement?

You're apparently in the process of screwing multiple traders here (and people on other forums too).

We'll be generous and give you 96 hours (this will gve you until Monday night) after the time stamp on this post to come here and

a) explain what's happened to this point in time
b) explain how you're going to fix it
c) provide a timeline indicating when you'll be making things right

You have no other options.

If you don't log in during that time, you forfeit your right to be a part of this community. We'll make extra efforts to ensure that you cannot return.

I guess there's due process here, usually there is 2 sides to a story, but in this instance this was an attempt to scam and steal and whether he makes this right or not, which I highly doubt he will, because there is not one person who can vouch they ever received a package from him, this is grounds for an automatic band, he has no trade history and came to BeerAdvocate Trading with the sole purpose to fraud and cheat people. So why would we give a person like this an opportunity to stick around and do this again ?

 

Ugh. Just saw this. I sent him a box containing Damon, Elab 5, Fear, and others for DBH, Last Snow, +. Radio silence since. Add me to the list of people he has duped in the last week. Sorry to hear that there are so many that he has taken advantage of. My story is pretty similar to everyone else's in this thread. Was a bit too trusting since I've never had anyone do this before in the 4 years I've been on this site.

Thanks for everyones help with this. Sorry to hear that he got another one. Agree that there are two sides to every story and would have totally understood if he had something come up. With him logging on and not responding that doesn't look to be the case though.

 

Man... this is awful. I feel terrible for everyone hosed by this a-hole. I know it's early, and this is far from resolved, but I'll happily rally all the solid Florida BA's and do what we can to help out those screwed by this guy.

 

@DSho has one chance to explain himself in very specific terms and detail.

If he doesn't, the ban will follow.

We also want to extend the chance, however low, that the other burned traders may get their due.

This is a solid community and others may step in to help too.

@DSho has three pending and seven open trades...others may well be in a similar boat. Looks like we have two of the pending (zam and jesse) and five open (the other names) trades?

 

I account for one of the pending, I'll delete it.

 

I'm not one to go running to turn someone in. But, given the facts as we know them, this was a scam to steal beer from multiple people. One of the people who got scammed may want to consider contacting the police in the town where he lives.

If he is really a police officer, and you know where, contacting internal affairs will be an effective way of bringing this to a head.

 

I'm one of the open trades as well.

 

I found a post on bladeforums.com where he scammed a guy out of a knife on their trade group (knives, not beer but still). Seems like this guy is a pro.
