Awesome enjoy. Won't be in town until the 8th, but will definitely be stopping by the watering hole.

@no_scents Apparently there is a chance they do a separate release for the Trillium collab that might come midweek because the last one was FUBAR. Don't be shocked if people are running out to OH this Wednesday or Thursday afternoon.

Honestly I think I'd prefer that to waking up in the early AM, assuming I can dash out of work.

A return to Thursday releases would be great for me, especially since I'm off this week and live five minutes away.

I'd still probably prefer some sort of online lottery system, cut down on the craziness a bit.

I wouldn't doubt that they'll do what Carton does and announce the release the day of......

Talked to Sam at the release this weekend, he said it will be on Saturday.

From the biweekly Other Half keg order email this afternoon:

    "Like Whoa
    - 8.5%. Trillium Collab, 11 different hops, a lot of flavor. Believe the hype."

The biweekly Other Half keg orders email. You can own your very own sixtel for $300. Potentially a small price to pay to avoid the lunacy of this release.

Edit: Speaking of price...what do you guys bet this is the first OH release to command the $24/4-pack price point that Tired Hands has been using for its most hyped 'shakes in recent months? Given the hype I'd say it will be $20 per at the very least.

    Well isn't $300 a sixtel close to $30/4 pack?

Yes technically, but Mylar Bags was also $300 for a sixtel, and that was "only" $18 per 4-pack.

Wow. That is a lot of different kinds of hops.

The fact that they are kegging this beer makes me think the can allotments are gonna be really low. I doubt they will go higher than 2 4-Packs per person.

I'm sure they'll say something more definite with the eventual Instagram update, but Saturday they speculated ~760 cases (that is, roughly a triple batch?) and are planning for a case limit.

I wonder how many people roll through on an average Saturday release.

A case limit would be absolutely insanity.

Well kind of. If there really is that much beer, 700+ cases, that's awesome. Take the 2pp you speculated (reasonable limit on a typical ~240 case batch sizes), triple the batch and triple the allotment to serve the same number of people.

I'm just thinking more about the size of the crowd that a case limit would bring. As if this release wasn't already hyped enough.

Totally agree with you. I think the size of the crowd is directly correlated to the limit. If they truly have 750 cases, I would do a 3 4 pack limit and be able to serve 1,500 people. And 1,500 people would be able to get a fair amount of beer. No one needs more than 12 of any one beer.

Tell that to the guys I saw Saturday morning loading case after case into the trunk of their black sedan. Easily $1000 worth of beer between 3 dudes. New Jersey plates, but you probably guessed that.

I wonder what percentage of cans purchased on a Saturday morning are actually consumed by the person who buys it? 50? Too high?
