And now I know what to mix together at the BT event tomorrow assuming I can get there on time.

Man I would love to go to this event. If only they had it on a weekend, I might have even flown in for it. That beer list is just crazy.

So what's the over/under on the number of "had it in my cart and then it disappeared!" complaint posts in this thread related to the BT sale today?

I imagine it will even last a couple days. This beer doesn't have the hype it used to and people have had it and there is no trade value in this beer. Also, I am sure they made a crap ton of it. Does anyone know how many barrel they have for black tuesday and all of its variants? It has to be close to a whole warehouse now.

I think today is probably the first stress test for the new system. I'm interested in seeing how it holds up to the big bump in traffic.

I proposed this to a buddy of mine who works at The Bruery, and we came up with a name for it: Irish it was Friday.

More like "I didn't put these bottles of BT in my cart and can't get them out to purchase the Hottenroth I want!"

    I totally disagree here.

BT for $25.50 (for RS, $24 for HS) may seem steep, but if you really think about it, it's not.

If you walk into any bar and order 3 beers, with tip you are just about at that same price point. And that is over a month (who here drinks 3 beers a month?). Most places that serve high ABV stuff only pour 6oz or so (or max for 20% stuff), which means you are paying $6.25 or so for a glass of BT.

That is cheap in my book.

You put it in context properly.

Just curious as to people's opinions on the optimal aging range for BT. I imagine 2-3 years is no problem - any thoughts on going beyond this?

09 is tasting so fine, but that may as well be called a different beer name altogether. Either way, more years on it are fine.

The biggest hurdle stopping me from buying a lot of BT is the size format. Put it in 12oz bottles and I'll be happy. Cause even 12oz is way more than I need for this to take it to a share.
