One more day, one more day, one more day, one more day, one more day, one more day, one more day, one more day, one more day, one more day, one more day, one more day!
Got my BIF box from @hardysf yesterday! There's the wrapped beers and the wrapped candy. Day 5 has two beers and he added 2 wrapped "trick" drinks to have on a couple different days. He also sent along a little info sheet to guide me through the days! And as extras he threw in 2 Bell's bottle openers and: Massacre from Wolverine State Brewing- New tick BB Scotty Karate and 2015 Plead the 5th from Dark Horse- I really enjoy both of these beers Hazel's Nuts from OddSide- New tick and I have liked just about everything I have tried from OddSide so far Thanks @hardysf!
Is these extras are any indication, this is looking like an amazing MI box. Great beers from that state.
The embedded images aren't quite working. Edit your comment and change the %5B at the beginning both of those to an open square bracket [ so it starts with "[URL" I'm glad the glass survived! USPS had some issues delivering this to me for some reason, but luckily the delay allowed me to stumble across the King Sue for you. Enjoy! Apparently I made my hints trickier than I thought. It was a two-part puzzle, but the word jumble was the more difficult portion. Hint #1: Admiral Sir Cloudesley Shovell Hint #2: Uncle Acid Hint #3: Oblivians Hint #4: Epsilons Hint #5: Intelligence Hint #6: Sadahiro Yamada Hint #7: Robedoor Hint #8: Electrelane Hint #9: Umberto Hint #10: Nadja ASCSUAOEISYREUN + four words in the form of a question = Can you see Russian? This, of course, is a reference to the famous assertion by Sarah Palin that you can see Russia from Alaska.
You know that point you get to sometimes where you are very tired and don't notice anything. That was me yesterday. I found that the box is from Minnesota and I can only deduce from the extras and hints that this box is from @jonbonfondle The main attraction, clippings from magazines decorate the bottles. I was almost expecting a letter of clippings to accompany them The extras! Very excited for these! Plus my very own newbies glass! I don't know what to say I just can't seem to figure this out. GOT IT!!
Round 5 - when state of Alaska became a Newbie BIF participation state, ahead of Oregon and Vermont. Great box @jonbonfondle.
Boy and girl?! Sour and Stout? Red-head and black-head?! I confuse Nonetheless, a big congrats again!
1 boy 1 girl. Casey Cherry Fruitstand & Allagash blackberry uncommon crow. It's not easy to find a blue beer!!
Doing an unofficial Day 0 with one of the many amazing extras @Eziel sent me. Also dipping into the ear candy early since I'm bringing my day three beers to a party and won't be able to spin this. War on Drugs LP 1/2
6 days box landed from @Steban. Looking forward to starting up tomorrow. Then the extras. Burial - BOLO Love this beer. Wicked Weed - Metatropics New tick, excited to try. Wicked Weed - Pumpkin glass. Perfect for this round. Asheville Brewing - Ninjabread Man. Great vibe when we stopped at this place last year. Wicked Weed - Pacificmost Looking forward to this one too. Thanks for everything Steban
Round 5 newbs! Let's get this going! Midnight madness! Ok...well, I started this around 11:15-11:30 since my sender knows I have to be a day ahead or I won't get to day 6 until 11/5. Here is my day 1 beer and candy Knew the bottle would be a Jackie O's so I grabbed the glass Renee sent. Definite bourbon smell on pour and first taste hits it pretty good. Not a lot of alcohol taste but I can tell is strong. Definite coffee in there. More of a burnt taste to it but I'm not a coffee drinker so what do I know. No guess on what this is but definitely like it! Didn't watch Saw as I was watching hockey (shocker!) and some of the World Series. Thanks @Elneenee ! Great way to kick off these 6 days and I cannot wait to get to more beers and candy. Think this is my favorite round yet!
Arrived home yesterday to find this waiting on my porch: "Cleaning Products", nice touch. Pulled everything out, here are the extras: Jester King Black Metal Jester King Kollaborationsbier Live Oak Hefeweizen Oak Highlands Vanilla Porter Lakewood Brewing Company Snifter And a giant jawbreaker sucker. Wrapped beers: Obviously have no clue what they are, beer and candy sealed off in a FedEx cocoon. Looking forward to cracking the first one as soon as I get home tonight! Cheers everyone!
