They had lower limits, however. Started at three, went down to two, then one.

You got limited to two I take it?

Yep. I think about 20 people or so in front of me is where the limits got slashed.

I bet we were. I was pretty hungover so I wasn't very social during my wait. That said, I still remember this guy in a Cigar City hat who asked us to hold his place in line while he went to the bathroom at McDs (before OH opened their doors). Never saw him again until we got up towards the front and saw him walking out grinning ear to ear with his full allotment (before it got bumped down to 2 4pks pp). I think @NiceBeerCans might have been in the group where we were standing.

Note to self: Don't wear Cigar City hat on Saturday.

You had to have been there earlier than that. We got there at 8:30 for sure and the line was just about halfway down Garnet.

The crazy thing was that we thought that we were getting there early at that time. How times have changed...

Any ideas on what the total # of cases will be? If they're only doing 1 beer, I would assume it would be far more than their typical releases

I think I got there around 8-ish to be at recycling driveway. The crowd really picked up steam and got crazy at like 845-ish.

750 cases means they can serve 750 people (assuming everyone buys their full allotment, which won't be the case). Where do you guys think 750 people gets you to in terms of distance from the garage? I'd have to think it would have to snake all the way back around.

Yeah, maybe I'm crazy but I do think a lot of people are going to get this and if 750 are there by 10:00 I would be a little surprised. This will sell out quickly though.

Now that they have been doing 4 beer releases, is that about 1,000 cases per Saturday?

Yea, 1000 cases on a Saturday with some people buying 4 cases and some buying a few 4 packs. I would say an average of about 1 case per person and the beer last well into the afternoon. Do I think this will sell out fast, of course I do, but I also think there might be a chance you can get it by showing up after 10 as you mentioned.

I know I was ridiculed for saying this yesterday but there still has not been a single mention of this release in the Trillium thread. Does that mean Boston is not going to drive down and they dont know about it of course not. But it is interesting.

I would think there will be people lining up (like me) that won't be buying a full case. I can't be the only one.

If I lived in Boston or anywhere near Canton, I wouldn't drive down for this. You can buy cases and cases at Trillium everyday now and it's not a bad drive to Treehouse either.

Between cans I got last weekend, cans I'm gonna pick up from Interboro, and hopefully from LIC soon there's no way I need a case.

The other thing with this release is it's going to bring out a bunch of people who don't normally come out to releases, ie people who aren't spending $108 on beer.

The last hyped release was probably the all dank release. The all citra was two 4-pack pp, and even that wasn't maxed out on through people with bracelets. ---Also worth mentioning that instagram had only ten less comments than this one.

I'm going to this release and I'm not going to buy a case of it at max I always buy 2-3 4 packs. Typically two for beers I haven't tried before but assume will be good and three for beers I have tried and know are delicious. It's not really about the wait to makes me want to buy more or less of the beer it's about being able to consume it in a timely fashion where it's still in it prime.

Man, you guys really make me think waiting until later is the way to go. Very true with Interboro dropping tonight as well, storage and necessity is much lower. If they really have 700+ cases and let's say even 25% of the people don't buy a case, thats a hell of a lot of people who have to come through to run out. Street Green was nuts, but was likely around 500 I would say.

Predicting the line at OH for hyped release is a dangerous game, haven't you guys learned this already :wink: ?

Assume the worst, hope for the best.
