I'm ok being disagreed with. I think this proves nobody has the answer. I don't see this conversation going anywhere productive. They'll do what they'll do and we'll play by their rules.

FWIW the barrells were filled last March so September was the 18 month age mark so they're either in bottles or going into bottles as we speak. So it could definitely be any day now

silent release camp here, it seems it's been working well for them so here's hoping.

If you recall, back in March when Suday Brunch was on the horizon, people were lining up every Saturday morning hoping it would be released.
I would expect more of that as we get closer to when an expected release

Personally, I wouldn't mind if they emailed me and only me and then trusted me to let all of you good people know. I think THIS is the most fair way.

In all seriousness though - last year gave me anxiety, unless it's a last minute announcement or a silent release, I might skip this. The beer is superb, just personally not worth the mess for me.

Actually this gave me an idea. Every visit over the year, you place your info including email in for a chance to win bottles. Every visit you can enter. Then draw the emails lottery style.

I actually think that method would resolve most issues and I don't think it's too labor intensive for them to pull off. I'm for hire as a strategic business consultant.

I love all these ideas. I live right off Sunset Ave .5 mile away so ill have over 50 entries in this, so im all for it. But again, just because you don't visit the brewery doesn't mean you don't support them. If you live in south Jersey and buy a growler of Kane every week at a fill station or buy it on tap all the time you kind of get screwed. It does really bother me though that people from Virginia or South Carolina that never ever buy Kane can get bottles.

Catering to locals shouldn’t be the intent for the initial release, for any highly regarded brew; there are numerous outlets out there to capitalize on + it's just too tough. However, holding back a few bottles, for onsite consumption only throughout the year, might be beneficial. Similarly, Hill Farmstead’s unannounced, sporadic, onsite offerings provides for a soothing peaceful experience

Nonetheless, there will be backlash for any given approach. Consequently, one shouldn’t be concerned with the strategy, as Mr. Kane is quite conscionable with…everything. Ahhh, it’s not the gift, but the thought that counts?

Looking forward to the new batch of Hop Lab: Triple and Sneak Box per Instagram; more dialed in?

Regarding ANTEAD release, the brewery switched up last year's release three times due to the constant bitching and moaning of the entitled people. Yet, nearly 12 months later, there's still an element of anguish.

Accept whatever they do. Make a choice whether to engage. If the choice is to opt out, have enough maturity to not get involved in the discussion of where it all went wrong. Nothing worse then a chirper on the sideline.

No ANTEAD bottles today, but there's this:

Object Permanence, our 11.8% Bourbon Barrel Aged Barleywine, will be released at the brewery today during tour and tastings from 12-7pm for the first time Object Permanence began as a rich English-influenced Barleywine brewed with floor malted Pearl barley from the United Kingdom. To this base malt we added dark Munich, Honey and three levels of crystal malts to add rich caramel, toast and dark fruit flavors. This chewy base beer was then racked into freshly emptied bourbon barrels were it sat for over a year developing flavors of molasses, vanilla, bourbon and caramel. The added layer of oak leaves a perception of dryness to balance this big, malty finish. 4 limit per person / $18 a bottle.

I wonder if the bourban barrel aged aspect of this beer will make it move faster than Vengeful Hearts did.

On Facebook it sounded like it was going pretty quick. The BBA part is probably where some people were "SAY NO MORE FAM".
