The thing left out is "when you sent it in"

Look back in the thread - I found out about this a week ago since I'm not on here as often a I used to be. I think it's crappy that they've admitted they made a bad beer but then put a limit on when they will rectify the situation. What is the purpose of that? I know it's a different magnitude but how would you react to Samsung putting a 2 month limit on when you return your Note 7? Did Central Waters put a limit when they had issues, no. Like I told them - the beer doesn't get better with age- I popped a 11/4 yesterday to just check it out and nearly threw up with the first sip. I've been drinking BCBS since 2008 and have probably bought over 10 cases in the past but I'm done with them and any other AB beer. Why chance it with all the choices we have in Minneapolis. When Odell Barrel Aged Stout was bad there was no time limit. They returned my money and sent a t-shirt. They didn't give me the middle finger and close the letter with "cheers."

I missed out on the BCBCS refund period and wasn't happy. It would be nice if they allow returns at the brewery for at least a year. Still waiting on my prop & regular monies.

I sent mine in 9/10 and hoping to get it soon. It'll probably go towards more BCBS this year too.

Just yesterday I was about to post my dissatisfaction with not receiving a refund after waiting for just shy of two months. And I come home to a refund check from Goose Island that arrived in the mail. It took longer than I expected but I appreciate their follow through.

I sent my request in the day they announced refunds and am still waiting. I've called twice, and both times they responded that they're still working through a mountain of requests. I guess mine is just buried in that pile.

Thats a little insane. They should be able to tell you they approved/denied yours. If not what horrible organization they have.

I called again today since it's been 3.5 months since I submitted my request. They couldn't tell me anything, other than that I'm not on the approved or rejected lists.

Has anyone had bad bottles that weren't one of the accepted dates?

I haven't been reading this thread, but I saw that it hit 50 pages (:astonished:) and decided to jump to the end to read a bit. Your post stood out and made me feel compelled to respond. I'm just trying to help by saying this - don't completely count all of your beers as "undrinkable" yet. Maybe some will be fine. If any of your beers have an issue, I'm assuming that it will be very clear that it's the case. Hopefully it's not a total loss.

On that note: there's no doubt my BCBBWs are toast. I had one fresh, and thought it tasted a little off, but I attributed it to palate fatigue. I had another one not that long ago, and it was definitely off.

However, I haven't encountered any off flavors in the regular BCBS bottles. I cracked one open just a couple days ago, in fact. I approached it with trepidation, but it tasted absolutely fine.

So yes: it's entirely possible many (or even all) of my BCBS bottles will turn out fine; I'm hoping that's the case. I think the BCBBWs look to be a lost cause, unfortunately.

I sent my refund request in on Sept 13th and just got a check in the mail yesterday. Just curious for those that requested both regular and prop refunds - did you receive $15/bottle? I had expected $15 for regular and $25 for prop but got a check equivalent to $15/bottle.

Not an exact similarity but my check was actually short the amount I expected. Strange thing is that the amount sent to me was not even a multiple of $15 or $25. I sent them an email mentioning the discrepancy and they replied that they'd look into it but I'm not going to bother following up. IMO the $15 was quite generous to begin with for the regular anyway.

Sent in the paperwork on 9/12 and just received my $60 check (4 bottles) in the mail today. I missed out on the BBW refund but the $60 almost covers what I paid for those 3 bottles in addition.

No respect for GI because you missed a two-month-long deadline and they didn't bend the rules for you? Cool story.

Because everyone that buys Bourbon County follows GI and is on BA every day so obviously everybody knew about the deadline, right?

Well obviously the fella who's upset about missing the deadline is on here and has been since 2010. It was plastered on the front page every single day, announced on every form of social media, etc etc. People who buy BCBS are obviously tied in well enough to know when it's released, which shops get it, etc so yeah, I am highly skeptical that someone was completely in the dark. Oh, and let's not forget the beer was infected, so anyone who opened one would know something was wrong and probably start investigating, which would 100% lead them to the information they needed. Cry me a fucking river about infected beer, it happens all the time and GI are the only ones who have done a refund of this magnitude.
