I feel compelled to post the words you're about to read.
After drinking a bunch of BCBS at a brewfest in Oct and now drinking a bottle of 2015 BCBS, I have to say it's tasting better than ever.
I know we all like to hate on AB InBev, but I'd like to just give them props on the consistency or, dare I say, improvement of this one offering.
Now, if they could just expand availability, it would be a beautiful thing. What, New Holland did it with Dragon's Milk!

My brother sitting on some BCBS 2014 and I'm just waiting for him to crack them open. He might of forgot about them.

I doubt I will be buying any 2016 unless the price comes down. Good beer but in my opinion better things for less $ out there.

    Enjoy

    Format sucks.
    Pricing sucks.

    Still a stellar product.

I guess we were getting away "with murder" for years in the 4 pack/12 oz. format.

I had the luxury to buy 3 bottles last year. They taste great... They are a real treat when consumed. But anymore it is easy to hate on the fact that so much has changed

Had a 2015 BCBS last weekend and it was definitely off... had a funky flavor and slight tang/tartness. Friends I was drinking it with confirmed this. Glad I didn't age it longer. Was still an enjoyable drink.

How much is this going for? You think 2016 pricing will be the same?

OP, I'd amend that slightly and say "BCBS is Good but the packaging format Sucks." I'm only speaking to regular BCBS but it should be a national law that it can only be released in 4 packs of 12 oz bottles. GI, raise the price if you have to, whatever. Just give us the perfect vessel for this beer. It's been scientifically proven btw. And when I win the election in 10 days on this platform I will make it so. On Nov 8, Punch 12.

While I'd prefer a 4 pack, the 1.9 pint worked for me tonight and I wouldn't say I hate it. For a weeknight, it's a little much. Fri or Sat night, about right. Overall, I'd agree though.

I actually love the format , 500ml of BCBS is perfect. I don't however like the price hike. I've got some 13-15 waiting to share with friends when a 16 gets here.

Not a fair comparison, Dragons Milk is only aged in barrels for a few months allowing it to be a quarterly released year round beer while BCBS is aged for almost a full year.

I am always looking for better and cheaper, even though I plan to buy as much BCBS as I can easily get. What beers specifically are you talking about?

I was reading some early reviews from the few privileged taste testers of 2016 BCBS. They have reported the same tart cherry off flavors from 2015. That's disappointing to me as that is the flavor I did not like from last year.

I've still got 2 bottles from last year... Once it gets a touch cooler out, I will be flipping the coin to see where it lands... My other bottles seemed fine so...

For me BCBS is the gold standard. I actually like the 500ml format. Price varies greatly. Last year, I saw it from $7.99 up to $25 per bottle (gouging pricks!). I was lucky to get a case at $7.99 per....very much hope to do that again.

Bottles were all 7.99 in my area, price seems reasonable. Don't mind the format. Perfect size for splitting or indulging on your own.

my 2015 stash of about ten non-infected date bottles are NOT aging well. Turns out other dates are bad too, because I haven't had a good one in awhile. Hoping at least some aren't bad, but I'm not confident as I think they're all from 2 dates.

Also, the price is the one thing I wouldn't complain about. ~15 bucks is better than a lot of comparable stuff. Eclipse, monsters park, stone oakmeal (also infected!!!!!). Well, I guess kbs is a lot better of a deal, and even the ridiculously priced prairie stuff isn't more expensive... I'm just getting desensitized to prices

I stopped geeking about it when they put it in a BL Lime bottle. Awesome trade bait tho. I scored 2 2013 Hommage for a rare last year locally. I had to add a Hill Farmstead 750 as an extra to even it, it just felt like the right thing to do lol. I'm stingy with the lambic.
