PseudoSue - TG. I prefer dark beers, but there's something special about this one's clean citra hop profile and malty body. All comes together very nicely.

Read your post and inspired me to revisit the London Pride as I gave it strong ratings (very lofty 4.75) in the past. I found a 4 pack yesterday with Best By date of Feb 2017 so it should be pretty fresh.

Got to say, I was quite disappointed this time. Has the formula changed? It seemed extremely bland and quite flavorless and watery. Not the English Pale Ale I recall that I gave an incredible score to and I am fond of the style.

Just last week , for Flashback Friday , I revisited London Pride myself and had the opposite reaction . I was really impressed with the refined flavor profile , solid hit of bitterness , and the long toasty finish .

I guess it could have been age on your end , but maybe temperature had something to do with it . Mine was served just below cellar temp .

I wonder how long Fuller's uses for a "best by" date? If it's a year like most imports it wouldn't surprise me if it has fallen off by now. I usually only have it on draft anymore and am always impressed.

It could possibly just be my palate. I was in Vermont last month, and drinking Born Yesterday just the day prior, so that might have an effect. I'll revisit a few other English IPAs and English pale ales that I've rated well in the past and report back.

I would be interested to know how long Fuller's puts out the best by dates though from bottling.

A different twist on "forgetting." Every Halloween rewarded with a renewed experience. I love that is it seasonal so the anticipation is there and truthfully, I have forgotten what it is like only to be reminded again how good it is.

I had a Sam Smiths Nut Brown Ale and it was really tasty again. I always used to drink these and forgot how good and how cheap they are, will be stocking them up again for some cheaper drinking.

Sam Adams Boston Lager. Say what you will about Boston Beer Co., but they put out some solid beers and the Boston Lager is one of them

Oh yea, and Dale's Pale Ale. I picked up an Oskar Blues variety pack not too long ago and that was the first time I've had Dale's in I can't tell you how long. The next day I went out and picked up a twelver of it.

Anchor Steam Liberty Ale. This is pure Cascade goodness. Double Liberty a year ago was so awesome too. I guess I'm into retro now. Oh, well...

Three beers come to mind from recent experience:

    Stone RIS
    Founders All-Day IPA
    Half-Acre Gone Away IPA

I rarely reach for them, but when I do I always wonder why the hell I wait so long to grab some.
