Just popped day 4 beer. Bruery Share This Coffee. Love these coffee stouts. Bug ole bag of chocolate covered eapresso brans to with it cheers!
Got into a tasty Day 4 bottles while watching football and sanding some lambic shelves. Blindly, had a nice amber color and lots of coffee. No idea what to guess but was happy to see this new Trillium tick. Solid coffee Porter. And I will be honest that the astronaut ice cream was really good, WAY better than I remember. My two kids love it. Thanks @SRBush1974
Day 4 from @pnelting with Bit-O-Honey. Seemingly tasting like a 50/50 Eclipse variant. The Reveal: Cognac BA Abyss! Awesome stuff. As it warms, the cognac shines through. Works really well with the other adjuncts. Thanks man!!
Sorry @MTKATL for posting so late But we did have a great time sharing your beers with @Steban and Bride! Day 2 And day 3 I think
Day 3a Smooth velvety chocolate.. finish is sweet at first I thought maybe vanilla but then settled that is was a milk stout...dont think I had this before which lead me to guess the "newish treehouse milk stout" to which I didn't know the name....reveal Calling that correct.. Day 3b Hops bursting out as soon as I cracked it. Once again didn't taste familiar Little bit of a cheat because I revealed the first can after cracking this one but went with In perpetuity And neither of them sucked !
Day 4 This thing is an oak bomb...little bit of funk but honestly reminds me of sucking on a popsicle stick exactly like a heavily Oaked chardonnay. Didn't taste familiar so figured it was a new tick...guessing some kind of tart saison in Chardonnay barrels. Reveal Chardonnay opulence. Another new tick from the best overall brewery in Ohio. I have a bottle of this but hadn't Cracked it yet. Chardonnay Must explains the heavy oak chard I picked up the saison itself aged in Cab barrels tasty selection with the emoji gummies. Cheers @Eziel and @Elkevjoe !!
I'm a little behind in posting here on BA so I'll be posting the last few days now. Delicious Brett sour. A bit of fruit and a ton of earthy brett flavor. I was digging this a lot. Side note though: this was the hardest corked bottle to open I have ever encountered. I ended up accidentally twisting off the top of the cork and having to resort to a corkscrew to get the rest out Never even heard of this Bells beer. Supposedly this was the first time they have bottled it. I hope eventually it comes to NY.
Day 3: Definitely a big barrel aged stout. Not too boozy tasting though, nice and mellow and smooth. The chocolate covered coffee beans go well with it. Unfinished Business by Perrin! my second Perrin beer. I had No Rules not too long ago for the first time and it was delicious. This one isn't too far off. I also love the movie references from Perrin with both beers. Big Tarantino fan and Lebowski is one of my favorite movies of all time
Day 4: Very oaky and vinous and a little bit tart. Definitely some sort of wine barrel aged sour. Very tasty and starburst are one of my favorite candies Reveal: My first beer from Vivant brewery and it was a good one. Thanks @hardysf
Wicked Weed - Chocolate Covered Black Angel. The cherry worked so well with this. Didn't pick up much barrel or chocolate but it was so good. Thanks @Steban
Day 4 from @CBrodbeck, a nice variety of proper wrapping paper for each day. Finally some #properglassware I remembered to use, courtesy of Charlie Yet another day of proper beer/candy pairing. The beer was crazy complex with apples (!), vanilla and cinnamon. Had the regular before, but the BA was way more unique here. Thank you!
Initial smell is a little off, but I can tell this is barrel aged so probably a Monsters' Park variant. First sip confirms my initial suspicions from the aroma, this one is infected. Not BCBS undrinkable infected at this point, but it's got that tartness and prickly carb. Not detecting any adjuncts so I'll say this is the bourbon barrel MP. Tartness is becoming a little more palatable as it warms, I'll just pretend I'm drinking a Lindley Park In all seriousness, thank you @Eziel! Not too worried about it, the quantity and quality of the other beers you sent more than offsets this.
Enjoyed day 4, first impression is that the mouthfeel isn't thick enough to be a stout, assuming it's a porter, nice light chocolatey, vanilla flavor, cap is ccb so I'm assuming it's puppy's breath. And the reveal: Nice, got it right, tasty.
