    I'm thinking a Cubs' fan should start things today. The rest of my 08 Bourbon County on the right, next to a strangely delabeled FBS.

    Had to post this one from last night-a good friend passed away this year, and there had to be about 150 to 200 people at his memorial wearing a Cubs' shirt we had made for him. The little JD bottle was given out at the service, and I drained it last night in his honor, because I'm thinking Mike's been partying with Ernie, Ron, Harry, and so many others for awhile.

    Willing to bet that for many of you, after the euphoria leveled off or maybe even during its peak, your thoughts strayed to family and friends no longer with you who were diehard Cubbies. Celebrate for them, too! :slight_smile:

    Need some help from the beer nerds....

    Just discovered a semi-local taproom has GI BCBS 2015 on tap. They have a crowler machine that cans. If I bought a crowler or two and kept one in the fridge through Thanksgiving would it suffer?

    Wow... so sorry for your loss, and happy for the win. I'm not an emotional man, but that put a tear in my eye. Raising my glass to you and your friend, may he cherish the World Series, wherever he my be.

    The thing about being a Cubs' fan is there are so many of us who have had friends and family who have unfortunately left us before this great moment, and that means a lot of us are thinking of these Cubs' fans looking down right now and being very happy. My father was on the air for WGN radio ( which was the long time Cubs' station, for those who don't know) for twenty five plus years, so one of the perks was tickets to Cubs' games. I remember going to games with my twin brother, my dad, and his stepfather/my grandpa and watching dad get a hot chocolate (he was never a drinker) while Grandpa would get two hotdogs and two Old Styles. I'm hoping they're in some box seats right now enjoying themselves.
    And for you Indians' fans – I seriously hope you win next year. As long as it's not over the Cubs.

    I know very little about baseball, but being a Detroit sports fan, I know about waiting a long time for success. Go Cubs!

    I realize I'm the insufferable Cubs' fan (as some WBAYDN described us last night, and that's all good) as well as the over-talkative a-hole at the end of our virtual bar, but honestly, I don't care because I'm as happy as humanly possible right now. Enjoying my favorite beer of the moment with freshly opened vinyl.

    Some more Modern Times, bought a mixed sixer, and this brewery is moving up in my opinion. Anyone know if MT has distribution in Boston?

    I've hung on to crowlers for more than a month with success. Only once did I get a loss of carbonation, but still enjoyed the whole of its contents :wink:. Do it.
