I'll give a shout out to Mole Framinghammer. My favorite JA beer.

i'm actually thinking about heading out to the brewery this weekend after i looked and saw they still had brewery maker. It's possibly one of my favorite barleywines (or i guess lager wine) i've had and i thought it was only released back with all the barrel aged framinghammers.

We try to have one of the 'Makers' available year round. They are aged in Framinghammer barrels so new versions generally get released ~9 months after the previous year's Framinghammer. Brewery Maker is currently available and we have Sibling Maker aging in bourbon and brandy Framinghammer barrels.

So is Red Tape essentially taking Lashes seasonal spot? If so, can we still expect to see Lashes at the brewery or is it being retired?

Yes. Red Tape has replaced Lashes as a seasonal. I would expect to see Lashes again at some point as a specialty, but I am not sure when that might be.

I hadn't seen Red Tape for years so I was stoked to see it in cans. I'm a Lashes fan too but nice dunkels are harder to find.

This. Been enjoying having Von Trapp Dunkel readily available around here. Hopefully Red Tape gets CT distro.

Just cracked one myself, and it's definitely great. Pretty much as I remember, perhaps a bit grassier and more floral overall. The price on these is ridiculous, too... ridiculously affordable! I think it was $12 for four tallboy cans or something like that. Very competitive with most double IPAs coming out in this area recently (a buck or two cheaper than most, I believe)... so I bought two packs. Excellent stuff, JA... as usual!

Just crazy, when some local double IPA 4 packs are pushing $20 for a product that doesn't even need to condition as long. Jacks Abby pricing has been rocking it before it was cool.

Jack's has always been good for a bargin buy. Even when they first distro'd 500ml bottles as singles they were cheap. The 4 packs of them got cheaper and they kept it going. The 6 packs of 16oz copper legend for under 10 was a great multi purchace for me as well. If there is anytjing you cant get on JA for its pricing.

Delicious as always. And at an unbeatable price; these went from $5 for a 16.9 ounce bottle to $~11-12 for four pint cans, cannot beat that.

Can I ask if anyone has seen it in the just North of Boston area? I haven't bumped into it at any of my usual haunts, even though they all carry JA. I don't know whether it was a limited drop or whether I've just had bad luck.

Kiwi Rising is just so good. Just so much going on in it. Juice, booze, floral, dank, and a deep rich maltiness that you get only from lagers. And it's so easy to get!

Jack's Abby really is the unsung hero of MA breweries. Kiwi Rising, Framinghammers, and their sour barrel projects are just top notch and don't break the bank. Calyptra, Smoke and Dagger, the list goes on.

As much as I love Trillium it sure is refreshing dropping 12 bucks on a 4 pack of top notch DIPA.

I grabbed a four pack at the Craft Beer Cellar in Winchester. Maybe delivery days are different at your usual haunts because they had a ton (no limit, etc.)?
