They did last year, but this year was a week long deal. Guessing tappings all week might cut down any, if any, lines. Plus the BA C & C's has been taped before. Guessing should be a slightly busier then usual Sat, but wouldn't be surprised if it's slammed early on.

I was disappointed that BA C&C kicked the moment I ordered it, but I still enjoyed everything I had. What an amazing tap list that's on right now. Hopefully I get to try BA C&C next time.

Thinking this is going to be an above average brew by them. Will go tomorrow and find out.

    Inner Thoughts*

Lemon & lime zest, pineapple, pear & pine aromas explode from a glass of this deeply hazy pale ale. Hops: Austalian Galaxy & Enigma, New Zealand Motueka. Pale Ale ~ 5.7% ABV/ 35 IBU

    I'll just leave this here:

This is a highly aromatic brew and has a certain juiciness due to its low perceived bitterness, blend of English and American yeast strains and lack of filtration. Sorry if we’ve made you feel threatened with the unconventional appearance; we’re just kids doing kid stuff! Hops: Southern Passion, Equinox, Citra, Simcoe and Galaxy

    Bottles available:
Release Date: Tuesday, November 1st at 2pm.
    Price: $10 (tax+crv included)
    Bottle Limit: 6

I'll literally be at Monkish that day (#1stworldproblems), but the first batch of GOML was my favorite CM beer ever. :slight_frown:

Blammo! is back! Damn this beer is intense. Tastes like a booze soaked coconut fudge brownie.

Headed to SF from boston today for a few days. Are Cellarmaker bottle releases gone in one day, or do they last a few days?

Typically, they're sold out by evening. I think twice now they've gone to a second day, but it's very rare. If you want an allocation, plan to be there on Tuesday.

Cellarmaker with a surprise double release!

"We have two bottles for sale today.
First is Get Off My Lawn! a hazy double IPA hopped with Citra, Equinox, Galaxy, Simcoe and Southern Passion. The beer is bursting with tropical fruit aromas of mango and passion fruit, there's a hint of orange zest and a touch of coconut from the Southern Passion. The flavor is smooth and juicy upfront with a light lingering bitterness. We fermented Get Off My Lawn! with our clean house ale yeast and a specially selected English ale strain for added complexity. We are open at 2pm for today's releases. 6 bottles per person. 8.2% ABV 85 IBUs. Sorry, NO GROWLERS. Our second bottle is a 750mL of Lost Wisdom, a bottle conditioned solera fermented saison. From the label: "Lost Wisdom is a continuing project designed to create a drinkable saison of old world character and variation. The brew process is continuous with fermentation in the same vessel that all previous batches have seen. In, fact, a small portion from every brew continues on into the next, bringing threads of familiarity from past to future batches. Every so often we will make subtle changes to the recipe allowing them to reverberate throughout the beer, altering its personality. We welcome and celebrate these differences as well as the recognizable elements that carry on." This is Batch 1 of the project with more batches to come. We only have a few hundred bottles for sale so we are setting a 2 bottle limit per person of this batch. It is distinctly different than the version that has been on draft intermittently. We promise there are more bottles of future batches to come, so keep an ear out for the next batch. 6.0% ABV 5 IBUs NO GROWERLS."

GOML is excellent. Grabbed bottles, and I don't think they sold out of GOML yet. Man, Imperial Coffee and Cigs for december would be nuts!

    So...

I just got back from a Central/SoCal beer trip which started at the Firestone Walker XX Anniversary Party and then moved onto Highland Park Brewing, The Bruery, Beachwood BBQ and Brewing, Monkish Brewing, and finally Smog City.

What I got out of the trip is this:
    • Cellarmaker makes the best beer, period.
I was actually most disappointed in Monkish, since everyone is going crazy over their hazy IPAs. Not trying to start a war, which is why I'm posting here and not their thread. I think their NE IPAs may be creamier (and more consistent?) than CM's stuff, but somehow I feel the flavor is a little muted. And because they are so dry, it kind of hinders the "juicy" profile for me.

They had a Galaxy hopped IPA on tap there, and I actually thought Fieldwork Galaxy Juice and CM Double Moonage (never had regular Moonage) were a lot more complex.

That being said... getting back to Cellarmaker - upon getting back home, I caught up on a lot of things.

Please Rewind IPA - Really quite pleasant! Supposed to be old + new, but to me it's very tropical fruit forward. The old world hops - Cascade & Chinook probably contribute more to the back end bitterness.

    Cantaloupe Island
IPA - Coming from Please Rewind, it was hard to gauge this initially since it's drier. But as I drank more, I found more notes to it. Cantaloupe and berry flavors start to emerge. I think this is one that gets more complex the more you stay with it.

    Get Off My Lawn
DIPA - Better than the boozy 9% Batch 2, but since they used Southern Passion and Simcoe in this one, it gives off a grassy diesel flavor. Batch 1 was my favorite beer ever and was oh-so-juicy. Not sure if I could really call this one juicy. I got some bottles so maybe I'll warm up to it more.

Lost Wisdom - Had it during the 3rd anniversary celebration, but this new batch is very different! Much more tart and complex. I'm liking what Cellarmaker's doing with their saisons.

Blammo! - Holy mother of... I liked Baby Blammo when I tried it a few months ago. Thought it was super well crafted. Well, this one is exactly as I pictured. Baby Blammo ++. Honestly, Cellarmaker is killing it on all fronts. No one talks about their malty beers (aside from Coffee/Cigs), but they do it properly. I had the 20.2% Black Tuesday from Bruery, and it wasn't nearly as flavorful. (That being said Black Tuesday was a lot better than expected.)

Mt. Nelson - I really do think it's strange how I don't like Nelson Sauvin much when it's added to my beers, BUT, when faced with a 100% Nelson-hopped beer like Mt. Nelson, I think it's really juicy and amazing. This batch is a 0.5% more ABV than the batch released during the bottling, so I don't like it as much... but it's still the one I'd take home as a growler.

I just don't know how Cellarmaker is able to put out world-class beers in a variety of styles. It's mind-boggling! That being said, there are also weeks where they don't have anything on tap that I like, but it's that variety and experimentation that makes them successful.

CM excels at producing a variety of different hoppy styles. I'm always satisfied with them. Their other styles are kinda hit or miss for me to be honest. Not the biggest fan of vastness of space but I do like the c&c family very much. Their wilds are the most spotty out of what I've had from them. In terms of ability to produce a wide variety of styles and excel, I'll have to put HPB above them.

Yeah, I'm underwhelmed by VoS but Bourbon Barrel Vastness somehow came out amazing, and I am not a big fan of BBA.

Also true on the wild front. I've only ever had their SOMA Vice series, and I'm not so into them.

This beer makes us feel warm & fuzzy, we are so happy to share it with you.
