Abraxas in Chicago

    LP Binnys said they should be getting a large shipment in next week. Any word on what date this will hit Chicago distribution?

    I'm a little confused. Is that supposed to be a large shipment of Abraxas, or just a large shipment in general? If the former, it seems like you answered your second question. If the latter, I would say LP Binny's probably gets large shipments in every week.

    Seemed like a relatively straightforward question but I'll be a little more specific. Does anyone know what date abraxas will be hitting the shelves in Chicago? I know the St Louis bottle shops start selling it Monday.

    Last year Abraxas did not hit Chicago until well after any shops in St. Louis received it. I hadn't even thought to start asking about it, but I will be now!

    As @novamat pointed out, we are probably a couple/few weeks behind when the STL shops get it. As a reference, I bought mine last year on 11/24 - not sure if they released it at the brewery the same time last year, though.

    Two bottles of regular and a bottle of coffee hit my shelf yesterday and I'm in Chicago. :grinning:

    Wonder if we crossed paths. My buddy and I were there right as the place opened at 4. We were sitting in the middle at the bar, (I had a burgundy Hill Farmstead shirt on and he had a grey PsuedoSue).

    We didn't stick around too long, maybe an hour or so before heading back to Chicago. Did any other variant get tapped after the VB Abraxas?

    If you were the only one in a HF shirt, then I saw you. I didn't stick around either, so all I saw was vanilla.

    Just got an email from Binny's. Release/tap takeover at Binny's LP starting at 6 on Tuesday.

    Had some of this year's Abraxas on tap in STL two weeks ago. I had never had it before and I really enjoyed it, would definitely buy a bottle if I saw it hanging around somewhere. Had the vanilla as well but preferred the original more.

    I just realized the release is on Election day. Will have to look for a bottle in the burbs then
