Still haven't seen this in Baltimore. Am I out of luck at this point?

Just bought the last 6 pack in town as far as I can see....called around and the place I got the first 2 had one left and was the only place I found it in stock.

Its actually murky in the bottle as well I was paying more attention to it when I went and picked it up....

Is there a possibility that the clearer ones did a sort of cold crash in the bottle from being refrigerated and the cold forced the solids out? Or is it a possibility of some type of bio-transformation has made it murky?

I found 2 more 6ers while out at lunch, yes!! I took it up and the guy said "well, i was hoping those would still be there when i ended my shift, enjoy"!! Really Lagunitas best beer in quite some time I think. My last 2 6 packs were very clear, so I will see if any of these are murky is pics in this thread display.

. Got mine from honeygo(they had it in the back) and total wine had a few cases just sitting out. I never saw it at canton crossing or lighthouse but maybe they had it in the back too.

Wow.. This hasn't begun to let off at all. The drop off may be steep. But so far the vibrancy is still there. Sorry local breweries, Lagunitas has my weekend plans on lock down.

it's funny to say that as this sits at 19 days old. I do know 3 month old is a shell of its former self So there is still time fellas lol

Maybe east coast cameras just have hazy filters?

Am I the only one that thinks a IPA, or in this case "Pale Ale" that tastes more like fruit juice or a bowl of fruit doesn't = better beer? Don't get me wrong. This beer is good. But spritzy in mouthfeel and still has the same finish that every Lagunitas hoppy beer has. I'm kinda sad that today's hype moreso represents fruit, rather than what I would expect out a Resinious hop bud.

^there are more resinous hoppy IPAs than fruity in the general market place. So this isnt quite the norm. Especially for a nationally distributed brewery.

I can't keep track of the IBU driven piney resinous hop bombs that every Joe, Jack, and Sally does. Those hop varieties are truly more plentiful on a hop contract basis for sure.

I can keep track of ones that do the aromatics and initial flavor pop that I see out of BY. So that unique "rare" or unique factor is definitely driving BY. Finding some of these hops and utilizing them properly is a challenge.

    Different strokes @RBassSFHOPit2ME

I will say, price point is definitely at the highest level for a sixer, and at one of the lowest APA/IPA levels. So there is that.. For now, personally, its totally worth it. Especially considering local breweries have done this style before and charged $10/bomber. I like this style

Hitting both aspects in equal parts would be utilizing properly. I highly suggest seeking out Beachwood BBQ's Amalgamator. Best new IPA I've had for as long as I can remember.

Which is why I don't understand why a number of people are saying it's New England style. It's more spritzy than West Coast IPAs, let alone the soft NE ones. Even the fact that it's unfiltered seems to be disputed in this thread, as my bottles (and draught pour) were mostly clear.

It's really all about muscle memory I guess.

Mother Road Tower station has the look down perfectly. Creamy mouthfeel even. But the aroma is a dud, and there isnt quite that hop pop in flavor either...

I guess unless you are many of the "PERFECT" examples, you take the dynamics that you like best and praise the hell out of them.. For me, aromatics, and initial flavor is just a huge flavor dyanmic for the rest of my drink. A 1 month old non aromatic Tower Station IPA that is both hazy and creamy, is a DUD.

Again, different strokes for different folks

    @RBassSFHOPit2ME
I know the west coast style well. I know balanced well too. We have La Cumbre and Bosque locally. Even Marble. They have strived at being balanced, if not a touch more IBU driven. Elevated is 100 IBUs and 7.2% but tends to start off malt driven, and ends very dry ( you end up wanting more).

There is definitely a style preference in all of this IPA/APA. If you like APA or IPAs, there may be a chance that you don't in fact, like them all

Frederick MD seems to be out. Several stores had it but all pretty much disappeared within 1 week or less. I've only checked out 4 of my fav. stores around town, so perhaps some others still have some left.

Is it just me or are either alot more people buying this year version vs. last or did Lagunitas put out a lower quantity this year? I saw Born Yesterday's last 3-4 weeks at least in many stores last year.

Almost every place I've been to has had this. Perfect Pour in Ellicott City/Columbia had stacks, Total Wine had some a couple days ago, Dawson's and Fishpaw Market in Arnold and Severna Park had some.

Ever since you said this was made with hop extract I swear I can taste it. Can anyone confirm this is in fact made with extract?

So it sounds like our wonderful regional distributor decided to give Frederick County a tiny supply this year (based on all the supply still being found closer to Baltimore).

Can not find it anywhere in Chicago. Last year I've seen it in Jewel stores everywhere for a while.

It says on their web site it is 100% wet hops, no pellets, oils, or other which extract would be a part of.... I believe it is also against FDA regulation ingredient labeling laws to label something as 100% wet hop and not be...I could be wrong though Im not 100% sure if breweries are also under the regulations like other perishable food products.

There is nothing on the label that lists or suggest anything other then what it is subscribed to be.
