Beer #4. Had to check if this is still better than Whole Hog Pumpkin.

I'm not going to try a third photo site, so picture a Lagunitas mason jar with Fat Heads Hop Stalker (another courtesy of @WesMantooth). Good stuff.

18th Street DRIP Double Dry-Hopped West Coast DIPA. Part of their "In The Shadows" small batch series that was released today along with their NE style IPA. Despite my preference recently for the hop juice, I liked this one better. One of the better hoppy beers I've had from 18th Street. A complex west coast DIPA. Cheers!

New Beer Friday, New Holland Rum Barrel Dragon's Milk Coconut Stout, 11% ABV, 30 IBU. Pours black and thin, with no real head on a careful pour. Nose is rum, coconut, and malt, taste is rum, malt, coconut, chocolate, and a hint of coffee. Excellent mouth feel and overall outstanding. Funny thing is that the Dragon's Milk beers that I think I'll like I don't, and vice-versa. I don't like chai or coconut flavored things, but those are the two variants I like. Luckily I don't pick up much coconut taste or odor. I like rum beers, and while this beats Jolly Russian, it is not near as good as Pirate BOMB.

TRVE's Melissa, a petite sour saison. One of my favorites from them.

Drinking some TRVE, seems like the new Suma is an appropriate choice of music.

All the Ozzy stuff is very good, Dio very good as well. As to Paranoid, out of my LP collection, that one is the best recording/pressing, easily (WWA), wish I had some Vertigo's.

    Cheers

When you feel that gravitational pull to something you know is good, but at the same time bad for you, well, I guess you're on the right side of rock bottom. I know this, BAs: This shit is amaze balls, to quote my ex-girlfriend. Larrrge.

OK BA's, this one's for the actual readers too . I am currently enjoying a Guinness Draught in honor of my grandmother, who would have turned 77 today. (I'm glad to tell the story tonight, so I don't bum you all out over the holidays.) Tragically, she was killed in a car accident on Christmas night last year leaving my house to go to my cousins for dessert. She was not a beer drinker and actually opposed alcohol all together, however, when she went to Ireland years back, my uncle told her she HAD TO HAVE a Guinness while there. She did. She absolutely hated it, but she did it. The only other beer she ever had in her life was one of my homebrews which of course she loved. So happy birthday gramma. Cheers to Pat!

I'm always seeing @tasterschoice62 drinking on this stuff. Had no idea we even got it here in Chicagoland but there was a six pack on the shelf today. Two weeks out. Washing down a mighty fine meal.
