Loathe this time change; like a season-long jetlag that will haunt me until Spring. Couple of cups deep into the coffee pot this bumped AM hour, thought it best to save some Sumatra for the wife and switch myself to a pretty fantastic beer. Starting the thread was kinda a favor for @JakeScully , so cheers from beers in EST.

Sorry about #properglassware and all, but needed to warm this guy up. And because mouthfeel ain't no joke here:

Good morning BA, have a great Sunday! Looking to be another nice day for weather around here again. Was unable to get to sleep so I was playing candy crush all night. I’m on level 1777 on regular and 952 on soda haha.

    Beer this morning:

Been a while since I last had this, but they date their cans now, finally. Pretty damn good! Flavors of grapefruit, tangerine, pineapple, peach, lemon/orange peel, and pine hops; with balanced honey, bready, light caramel malt sweetness. Moderate pine/grassy bitterness with a bit of citrus rind. Medium-plus bodied; balanced hop stickiness and grainy creaminess in the mouthfeel. Touch of resins. Increasingly drying finish, and never astringent. This is a really well balanced IPA, with a heftier mouthfeel than I remember; but it’s never too sweet. Simcoe and C hops I think. Now I just need to find some fresh Norm’s Gateway singles, I remember drinking that a lot a couple years ago.

Fantastic as usual! Flavors of big toasted coconut, milk chocolate, cocoa, caramel, vanilla, cream, toffee, dark bread, and light coffee. Light balancing roast bitterness against sweetness; with an awesome creamy/silky medium body; light touch of sticky/chalky roast character and dryness. Glad I was able to get a full 4 pack last week, the allocations were pretty dumb around here for whatever reason. I might need to go grab the last pack from the store on the corner today, to hold me over till next year’s release.

Delicious! Flavors of grapefruit, orange zest, pine, caramel, raisin, toffee, vanilla, bourbon, and toasted oak. Moderate pine/citrus rind bitterness on the finish. Medium-plus bodied; nicely creamy and sticky/resinous balance in the mouthfeel; a touch slick and silky from the barrel. Increasingly drying finish from resins, but never astringent or overly aggressive like the base beer. Really drinkable. Will grab again for sure. Was a bit underwhelmed when I reviewed this initially, but I really love it now.

Always amazing, this is my favorite shelf BBA stout of all time. I can get it all year. Flavors of milk/dark chocolate, cocoa, coffee, vanilla, molasses, toffee, bourbon, toasted oak, coconut, light licorice/raisin, and light smoke/char. Balanced bittersweet roast/char finish with some spicy bourbon/oak against sweetness. Light-medium carbonation and a full bodied creamy/silky rich mouthfeel. Very smooth sipping with lightly warming alcohol. Really glad I decided to revisit this earlier this year. My original review opinion in 2013 was less than the base beer; but now I feel it blows the base beer out of the water. This and Wulver are always in my cellar stock now, despite the price. Worth it for me though.

    What extra hour of sleep?
I still woke up at my usual time; I guess that means I have an extra hour to play.
    Happy Sunday to all!

Heard a lot of good things about this beer, and if certainly did not disappoint. A few things on the agenda for today but a sick kid may create a day of football and beer. Cheers!
