Not sure if it is usually the same breweries as prior years, but if so, just wondering who is definitely worth checking out, cheers!
I have no clue who will be there, but I can't wait for it to kick off Thursday! It's a great event for cask ale and local brewers brought their A game last year and I don't expect anything different this year.
Wish I could but can't make it this weekend. Both of the last two festivals were excellent. Paying per pour really prevents most (though not all) of the "I need to drink as much as possible to make it worth my money" mentality. Easily my biggest issue with most festivals.
Yes, this is another reason it's one of my favorite festivals. I like having at least 4 oz. as well. Unlimited 2 oz. pours doesn't work for me on a number of levels. This inclues not having enough volume and the "drink as much as possible to make it worth my money" mentality. Finally, keeping track of how much I've drank is very difficult with a 2 oz. pour every few minutes at varying ABV levels.
We (Medusa) sent a firkin over for this to debut a new best bitter, Squiffy Vicar. 4.5% abv, all Bramling Cross hops, and cask-hopped as well.
Anyone go last night and/or tonight? How's the line-up look? I'll be there tomorrow for the day session, pumped!
