The new "Craft and Crab" local place has enormous wall with 60? something taps.
    Franziskaner Dunkel on draft. YUUUUUMMMMMMM.
It's served in a FROZEN 16 ounce Goblet.
Who uses frozen Goblets to serve anything much less beer?
How do you be nice to bartenders and explain they ruined your beer with the frozen glass?

To ensure their beer is ice cold a local restaurant has the pipes supplying their taps encased in ice. Makes no sense to me.

Frozen mug... Dumb, but traditional. Frozen goblet... WTF?

I wonder what they'd do if you brought in your own glass and asked them to fill it up?

I wouldn't get into educating the bartender or anything like that; it's company policy and I bet the other customers love it anyway. Just ask for a non-frozen glass- a wine glass even, if you have to. If they give you any resistance then maybe just say that you have sensitive dental work.

Let it warm a bit --happens very quickly--and it will be fine. Order number two a little earlier.

I might like a nice lager in a frozen goblet. There's no way an iced glass has enough water yo ruin your beer. Ask for a non chilled glass if it upsets you that much. I happen to like cold beer but that's me.

I had that thought. The Dunkel is great and a tumbler would be my preference.

I was out for a walk on a hot summer day with a heat index well over 105 degrees, when I happened upon a hotel patio bar right along the trail. I had an excellent local Hefeweizen served in a frosted glass - and knowing that it isn't the accepted way to serve beer did not stop it from being excellent.

It's not really just a beer. It's a FRANZISKANER DUNKEL. Respect Beer.

LOL. My wife's cousin loved to have a frosted mug for his beer. They don't visit as often, but we used to see him and his family a couple time a year. He mostly drinks your Negro Modelos and lagers which go great with a frosted mug.

Craft beer. No. My kids have been trained to never give me the frosted mug. Those are for Uncle Michael!

Lol, just sip and let it warm to your liking. I like my beers cold except stouts and porters.

I typically avoid frozen glasses. However...one of the most glorious beers I've ever had was served in a frozen mug.

While on a nice, long bike ride in Tampa, my wife and I stopped at a local Lebanese restaurant for a bite to eat. I ordered a Jai Alai that was served in the can along side the frozen mug. It was absolutely glorious at the time

As much as this bothers me most people don't get it. I'd just deal with it, maybe order my drinks early.

I keep about 6 in my freezer for friends, when I get it out and am asked, I request a regular glass, but if it is frozen, it helps pace me. Worst was when I specifically asked for one not frozen and it came out about 140 degrees, straight out of the washer. I keep my mouth shut now. It can warm up, but it won't cool down

    Noooooooooooooo!!!!!

I have refused them everywhere, including from family members who thought it's what I would have preferred to a regular mug.
