From election night. Just got around to posting it

 

Good morning BAs! Heavy frost here last night - leaves are frozen to Mrs. Lizard's car. Won't be too long until winter gets here. Maybe we can built a wall across the southern end of the Northwest Territories to keep the Arctic winds out. I know a pediatrician who moved his practice from Manitoba to PA because it was more like his native India here, so I guess weather is relative too. Today's breakfast brew:

Going in a new direction this morning, a farmhouse ale "existent" from Stillwater Artisanal, Stratford, CT, to start the day:



Bottled 1-21-14 and clocking in at 7.4%. The nose is grape must and black currants. Same flavors plus cherry and a goaty/barnyard earthiness. Little carbonation and a dry jam finish. Short lived musty grape linger. I like this style, and will continue to try more...

Quite vinous and a bit sour (and more carb than expected) - either by mistake or by design. The whole Goose Island refund thingy makes people forget that this can be by design or a happy accident... but I'm just not digging this one no matter what you call it.

Happy Thursday, BA's! The sun came up and the dust is settling (well, except in a few major cities) so things can't be all that bad, right ? I took a one advocates advice and went outside to take a deep breath, but then remembered the poor air quality we have in Southern California and quickly retreated back indoors as I coughed up a lung. Thanks ! Anyhoo, it's time for the Glass of the Day Awards!

GotD: Someone needs a pick-me-up, and @BeerVikingSailor , you earned it with this insanely awesome Carlsberg Elephant tulip! Cheers and congrats my friend, and I hope another GotD on your belt helps brighten up your day! Now get out there and take some beautiful lake pics !
