Good morning BA, have a great Friday and Veterans day. Thanks to all military veterans who have served our country! I got today off, so I will probably tidy up around the apartment and do some laundry.

Awesome DIPA. Flavors of big grapefruit, tangerine, pineapple, peach, mango, melon, passion fruit, berry, lemon zest, orange peel, citrus rind, light pepper, and pine hops; some honey and lightly toasted bread malts; and herbal, floral, grassy hop earthiness. Large sized pine/rind/spicy bitterness; very crisp/sticky/resinous mouthfeel with some grainy/creamy malt balance. Medium bodied. Moderate increasing resinous dryness, with little/no hop astringency. Love it! You get an awesome range of balanced hop character. The juicy tropical/citrus of Citra/Amarillo to the spicy/piney/resinous of the Chinook. Very bright on the hop flavors. Will buy again soon.


Been a while since I last had this, just as awesome as I remember. 1 year old bottle. Flavors of big dark chocolate, cocoa, coffee, toasted dark bread, molasses, and light smoke/char malt; with a bit of raisin, prune, fig, date yeast fruitiness. Bittersweet roast/char finish. Full bodied creamy/silky mouthfeel; a bit slick with some chalky roasted dryness. Warming but smooth finish. Definitely will pick up more of this. Older vintages linger on shelf all over the place around here.


We recently got a bunch more Mango and Blushing Monk around here recently, so I figured I’d open another. Really good stuff as expected! Big flavors of juicy mango, peach, apricot, pear, pineapple, honey, bread, and herbal/earthy habenero peppers. Light-moderate pepper spice on the finish, that builds through the glass along with heat; but neither becomes too overwhelming. Full-ish bodied with a slick and lightly syrupy mouthfeel as expected; but has zero cloying sweetness. Will definitely grab more of this and Blushing Monk while I still can. This is delicious. Nothing mind blowing, but delivers exactly what you would expect in the flavors. Very well balanced between fruit and malt sweetness; habenero being light at first, but building up through the glass and balancing the sweetness. I always love pepper beers. This batch is a bit better than the original release in 2013 IMO, less intense on the habanero peppers than I remember. A lot of people don’t like this, but I love it.

GotD: Not gonna lie, today's awards were very difficult for the new Staff to judge . After much deliberation, the award goes to @TooGood for a proper Surly fluted stange (pilsner) glass with some Abrasive nicely paired. Good thing you didn't go to the gym, eh ? Cheers and congrats!
2nd: @Tripel_Threat got his medication on in proper enough fashion with this sweet mug!
3rd: To @Barracudas for his newest addition , a beautifully paired limited release beer and willibecher combo from The Veil.
