Remains to be seen, I've merely been informed of the impending price increase with little to no justification thus far.

 

I would imagine the "justification" lies in another comment you made earlier: These breweries "haven't had a price increase in years".

 

I would also think it has to do with some supply & demand issues for raw materials as well.

I sadly never got the chance to try that as BB is one of my favorite accessible beers. Not many people out there with BB^3 wanting to trade.

This is true... unfortunately I cannot remember the reason but pretty much all the breweries reset their prices in October. I'll have to ask Marineview to remind me what causes them all to basically do it at once.

 

The largest increase I have seen is $0.10 / bottle, but it has been the majority of items. The weird / annoying one for me is Deschutes Fresh Squeezed and Bond Street beers going from $1.99 - $2.09. I just hate things that end in $0.09 for some reason.

 

Anyone heard anything about this years release? I reached out to Deschutes and they gave a tentative date of Nov 17, and said they would put it on their events page when certain. Haven't seen or herd anything else.

 

As someone who is randomly popping into town next week to visit friends from New England, this interests me.

I had a 2006 Abyss on my 10th wedding anniversary this past July. Figured it was fitting since the beer came out the same year I got hitched. Past it's prime but still good.

 

I've had them in a wide range of years and 5-6 seems to be the sweet spot for me . At that age it's one of the best things I've ever put in my face.

 

I am jealous you got to enjoy an 2006. That is the only year I am missing. Tried a few years ago to find one for my 40th birthday, without any luck. Anyone know of anyone that may have a bottle they would part with?

 

Somebody I was talking to on Reddit has one they are willing to trade, almost traded for it until I was offered a full set. PM me if you want their username.

 

I know the guy who made the beer, he's got a bunch left but don't feel comforatable asking for them.

 

I'm going to Seattle for a weekend at the beginning of December (i.e. the first weekend), odds of me still finding the Rye and Cognac varieties of the Abyss?
