Sampled the NEIPA today. Taste is nearly spot on from previous 2 batches. Needs more carbonation, but should be ready to get devoured this weekend!

The color is more muted in-person vs. the photo below. Smelling, tasting, and looking good nonetheless.

Did two lagers. One attempt at a red with some red-x,carared,roasted barley and mangrove m84. and a Octoberfest with citra and equinox. Also did another simple ipa using a bunch of some newer hops:nz pacifica, meridan, caliente, vic secret, lemon drop and idaho 7.

Dry hopped my bitter with Hallertauer and Galaxy tonight. Plan to keg by Friday and may be on as soon as Sunday depending if another spot opens up in the keezer.

Brewed the BYO Double Sunshine clone this weekend. I want to stick with the recipe as a base, but tempted to double the dry hop with an equal addition of Galaxy hops.

I am planning on brewing a Citra session on saturday with Imperial Citrus A20. I used this yeast in a NEIPA recently and love the results. Curious to see how it turns out with just Citra.

Haven't brewed since Oct....am feeling a little despondent...but glad pot is legal here in Jan....what a weird, bizarro country we live in...will brew and judge again eventually, but there is no urgency or passion at the moment... Buck Feer!

Gonna keg my spicy Christmas ale this weekend. Not much else going on, just trying to figure out what my next batch will be.

And it looks like that next batch will be a Belgian Golden Strong Ale.

Making a Märzen on Saturday. Mostly Vienna, a little dark Munich, and a small pinch of melanoidin if I don't decoct. White Labs Oktoberfest for the yeast. This will be one of a few trial runs for the real brew day in March.

I went to a homebrew competition I entered at the C.H. Evan's brewery in Albany last saturday and my Wee Heavy won second place in the strong ale category they grouped it into. I now have 2 second place finishes in my last two competitions. I need to get over the hump and bring home a gold

I took off a couple hours (got vacation to burn) and brewed up a half batch (2.5 gallon) of a simple extract hefeweizen (3 lbs wheat dme, 1 oz hersbrucker, wlp300) to use as a drinkable starter for a weizenbock I am looking to brew here shortly.

Congrats! I have the same problem. My first beer won gold, after several attempts my beers haven't done better than second since.

Kegged my Christmas ale today, a Belgian dubbel spiced with vanilla and cinnamon. Meanwhile we're re-brewing our vanilla coffee porter.

Kegged a brown ale yesterday. Added cold pressed coffee concentrate made with a mixture of Tanzanian Peaberry from my local roaster and Ethiopian Harrar that I home-roasted. Also added 2 oz whole beans to the keg with the same mixture.

Then ended up bottling half of a sour that was getting close to 2 years old. Racked the other half onto 4.5 lbs of peaches to sit for a few weeks.
