Black Friday Beer Releases

After last year's BCBS fiasco, wondering what the enthusiasm level is going to be like for it this year.

 

Troegs - Impending Descent (Barrel Aged)

 

Common sense - low
Reality - sky high

 

Spellbound is releasing their coffee porter, also. I think...

 

Anyone know if there are any release events out on Long Island planned for Friday morning?

Going to be staying with family in Huntington for Thanksgiving. Thanks.

 

Pretty sure no spots on Long Island will have it on Friday, as I believe Clare Rose doesn't get delivery until late Wednesday/Thursday and is closed on Friday... it wouldn't be on sale at shops until Monday.

 

So theres only gonna be regular, barleywine and coffee this year so I imagine the anticipation should be a lot lower than last year. Coffee is probably the most desirable out of the 3 but I cant imagine it being worth even a fraction of the effort that was seen last year especially with most places being 1-2 bottle limits. Reg and BW should be easier to just trade for months later. Of course this is just my opinion.

 

I'm not sure where in Pa you are, but looks like some places around Philly are going to be selling last year's Regal and Rare on Black Friday. I'm not sure if that will draw out a ton more people though.

 

Closer to philly.I could see more people coming out if Regal and/or Rare were also sold for sure.

 

I'd rather piss slugs than buy another 16 ounce bottle of bcbs

 

There's a picture of a School of Hops black IPA label in this month's Carton thread. Rumor mill fluctuates between it replacing Epitome, coming out at a different time than Epitome, or both being released together. I'd be fairly certain they will release something Black Friday.

 

Reiterating the Barrel-Aged Impending Descent release at Troeg's. That base beer is seriously great, I'm excited to hear details on the BA version.

 

Agreed, it reliably hits the the week after thanksgiving. @icny If you wanted to take a drive out to Riverhead, Long Ireland releases their Black Friday Imperial Stout that day. its a pretty solid beer and they have had the previous several years on tap the same day.

 

Do we have any idea where those places are?

 

The Foodery posted a BCBS event on their facebook page which included Regal and Rare.

 

I did see an event flyer posted for Swiftway (Medford) scheduled for 11/25 where they state that they will have regular, bw & coffee available for purchase as well as a few variations from last year...

 

you can call me corrected, perhaps AB have made sure it arrives a little earlier out here. That would also be great news, especially since im in patchogue

 

Magnify is releasing Point of Divergence and "a new IPA" on Black Friday.
