Imperial Mexican Biscotti Cake Break

Had on tap at WB. It is a pretty solid beer. I don't think I enjoyed it as much as either of them individually though tbh. To me, it is clearly dominated by the biscotti almond flavor and roundness and less of the heat and spice from the cake are evident. Very smooth, but I think the fact that the flavors that make these beers special are muted when combined. Still very fantastic and will probably try to find a bottle or two.

So some details for you guys! They are doing this "made to order" so the distributor is pre-selling cases right now and the brewery will make as much as the company orders overall. Retail will be $15.99 and since each store can have as many cases as they want, this shouldn't be super limited!

Would this one be like cake in that it's not suitable for aging? Wondering if I should pick up an extra bottle.

 

It should be nation wide from what evil twin is saying just depends on when you get it. I see NY is getting it and I've seen a guy in Charleston with it.

The previous collaboration stout they did "mini growler" was probably the best Evil Twin beer I've ever had. I imagine this will be tasty.

So if my math is correct, I'll only like this beer 50% as much as normal Mexican Cake?

 

I'm guessing that since the article says "Westbrook released" than Evil Twin distro footprints that do not have Westbrook won't be seeing this, which sadly enough, covers me as well. Someone with better knowledge over collab distro rules please chime in, as this is just how I read into it.

 

Negative Evil Twin says everywhere from their IG account people asking about states and they keep replying, "everywhere"

Landed it! Bottle shop has it ready for my pickup. I'm so excited for this!

Side note, think Mexican Cake distro will happen for us one day? That would be amazing, loving these new options.

 

I think people might overate this beer because they haven't had either of the originals. MC is phenomenal so my expectations for this are pretty varied.

 

Its like any adjunct stout, the adjuncts will fade
