Sorry this pile of crap stole your beer on what was already a lopsided trade. Given his disappearing act, I doubt he shows in here to make things right, but hopefully I'm wrong.

The plus side is, there's a lot of people that have access to fresh Jai Alai, and I'm guessing someone's going to jump in here and offer to send you some ASAP. If not, I'll be able to in January.

 

On the title. OP shipped package to him, so he knows the name.

@Tb3286, Let me get this straight, you asked @jsidonis7 to ship first (so you wouldn't get ripped off because of his limited trading history), he did ship first, you received his package intact, and then your wrote the following positive feedback to him.

"Didn't have to, but threw in extras anyway. Everything packed well and arrived quickly. Looking forward to next time!"

Tyler, you don't ask new traders to ship first and then keep them waiting. OP did everything you asked and even threw in extras, you didn't expect. Fixing this quickly should be your top priority.

 

Hasn't been on in over two weeks. I'd say this was planned & that we won't see this character again, just like the whole @BeerKnurdTX idiot.

 

I'd agree but it's strange that he took the trouble to leave the positive feedback to OP. I think he might come through. At least, I hope so....

 

If he's dined and dashed, is this the only person he's taken advantage of, or are there more folks that have yet to come out of the woodwork? OR, are we missing something. I'm not calling foul play, nor am I advocating such a thing, but a couple 4 packs seems like a pour haul if you're deciding cut bait on the site and run.

 

@Tb3286 You've been tagged as a *bad trader*. I'm going to give you the benefit of the doubt, since you did leave feedback, have a reputation to hold, and this trade wasn't for any whales. I'm hoping everything is alright. With that said, like anything, eventually time will run out and you will have to pay the Piper.

I suggest sooner, rather than later, you come in here and explain yourself. That includes getting the beers you owe the OP.

@jsidonis7 the good news for you is, if the bad trader doesn't come through, I'm confident one of my Florida trade partners (which are some of the best on BA) will help me, to help you, to make this right.

 

I think it's worth noting he only started trading in June of this year.

That said, I'd echo what a couple people observed above. It seems like a weird way to launch yourself into bad trader status - not whales, not even a huge trade quantity-wise, and then he left you positive feedback after he got your beers. Why would you take the time to do that if you were gonna burn bridges??

 

Does seem strange, but wouldn't be the first time this happened.

This review was a difficult choice for me, as I waffled between whether to give good, neutral or bad feedback to this guy. I ultimately decided to give him good feedback as I received my package and all the agreed upon beer, though tried to indicate in the notes that the experience left something to be desired, and now after viewing this thread, I wonder if leaving a more critical response would have been better.

I shipped on 10/13, and let him know. He responded that day that he was getting the package together and would aim to get it out on 10/15, though he needed to "get more tape." I emailed him the evening of 10/16 to get an update and did not receive a response (even though I remember seeing that he did view that message, which made me nervous since he didn't respond). I followed up on 10/18, the day my box was delivered and told him I wanted an update on the status of my box. He apologized, said "work has been crazy" and said he would get my box out on 10/19, additionally adding he could send "can send another little something something if your peeved about the delay." He sent me a tracking number on 10/19, though it wasn't processed until 10/20, so he may have actually dropped it off a day later.

Ultimately, the specific beers we agreed to trade all arrived, and the packaging was excellent. There was not an "additional something something" and the good local extras actually included a beer I originally offered to trade him (PseudoSue). The experience definitely left a somewhat bad taste in my mouth, though not having left bad feedback before, reviewing his previous feedback history, and after having reviewed different forums on what constitutes different feedback ratings, decided to leave a good rating with the messaging on his communication/shipping skills.

Apologies to the OP and the community if more negative feedback could have prevented this and flagged the guy. Let me know if you have any other questions.

 

This is just really odd. Maybe I am naive, but it doesn't make sense to leave feedback and then PURPOSELY vanish.

@Skellbop 's feedback was exactly the kind of feedback that I value. Thank you for taking the time and not leaving some generic "yearbook entry". One could argue that a neutral rating was warranted. However, like you previously mentioned, everything did arrive as agreed upon. I certainly would have found myself contemplating the deserved rating, and would have ultimately come to the same conclusion.

If this does not get resolved, I volunteer as tribute to throw you some Jai Alai.

 

Agreed it is weird. But remember the guy a month or so ago that got stiffed for Yuengling?
I feel for the OP here. First trade, he over pays and ships first and then gets screwed.
Not sure how fresh the Jai Alai is here right now but I would like to send him some New Jersey beers. We brew better beer here than they do in Florida anyway. Send me your info @jsidonis7

 

I don't get this either. The guy is going to trash his own reputation of two six packs of easily obtained IPAs?

After reading the experience from Skelbop above, I am guessing this scumbag shows up talking about "life getting in the way" and "calm down, it's only beer guys, lol" and all the other typical bad trader nonsense.

Has anyone asked other traders for e-mail, phone or Facebook info? He might need some gentile (or not so gentile) nudging.
