Holy shit. Wind swell is fantastic. Definitely getting another growler this weekend.

Stopped by today and enjoyed Sunday Brunch and Wind Swell. There's not much I can say about SB. Wind Swell is much fruitier and maltier than I expected. Less hoppy than Over Head or Head High. I was hoping there would be more Over Head cans. They said probably next weekend. I hope they last a couple of weekends again.

So I finally got around to cracking open both Quarter Sawn and 1825 this weekend... It always takes me a little while to get around to trying Kane's bottle releases, since I can't justify opening a 750 mL bottle of a huge beer by myself, so I tend to share--and I don't have many fellow nerdy beer friends/family. Anyway, I was totally blown away by both beers as were the people I shared with. Kane's quad/barrel/blending game is frickin' out of this world. Both were so smooth and drinkable without the barrels being too overpowering. Really added a lot of depth and played off the best characteristics of the base beer(s). Hats off to Kane for producing such stellar beer!

Does anyone else think we should be seeing a post regarding this year's ANTEAD release soon? Timing seems about right.

I really hope they keep the online ticketing again.

    thanks!

They post what kegs are available on their facebook updates. Normally just Head High and Overhead but sometimes other things are available. Deposit has to be cash, $30 I think, but you can pay for the keg itself any way you want.

Can't believe this but went and had Wind Swell and it actually made me appreciate Party Wave much, much more than I did the first time around. Great problem to have.

Loved being able to Connor McGregor my way into Kane on Saturday and grab an 8oz of Sunday Brunch.

Maybe? There really isn't any timing per say. 2013 and 14 ANTEAD were spring releases. 2015 was this time of year. It's ready when it's ready according to Mike Kane last year.

yeah i wouldn't be expecting one until 2017... i could be proven wrong but it was May 14 and then what December 15... so 18 months between the 14 and 15 release... if that panned out to be the case this time around again you would be looking at May/June 17... it's ready when it's ready indeed and they know their barrel beers so i trust they aren't going to rush anything just to have a release.. that isn't their style at all.

Yeah I mean that's pretty much it. Would I be shocked if they released it soon? Nope, not at all. Nor would I be shocked if we don't see it for a few more months or even spring time.

That said I got my BPT and trigger finger ready to go. Lol...

Actually they don't require deposit any more. The retail kegs are disposable plastic jobs now. Haven't gotten one yet but that is what the blonde woman (sorry don't know her name) told me when I returned one a few months ago.

I am also hesitant to get the disposable kegs. I felt the beer in their old pub kegs (which were also plastic) did not perform well. It got wild toward the end, and just didn't taste the same even from the beginning. I blame it on the plastic. These are not issues I've had with any other (metal) kegs in my kegerator. Curious whether anyone else had similar experiences?

Are the new plastic kegs dated the same as regular sixtels? Obviously i would think they are super fresh, but the date always helps me in knowing.
