2016 BCBS Chicago Release (Black Friday & Beyond)

They got 5 million people out to look at the Cubs, I predict the BCBS line will be 100 million easily.

The stress of picking out where to go alone should enable some riots!

 

Last year the Jewel I went to had probably 5 or 6 cases of each variant. Not sure if goose would cut their allocation to local places that they continue to do promotional releases with but I could be wrong.

 

7am...I mean 12am....but only if you can convince the clerk to sell it to you. Then get your buddies and unload it all before anyone knows!!!

 

Last year I went to Jewel around 11 AM on Friday to buy some groceries, when I noticed a line wrapped around the store. I realized it was for BCBS and got in line. I was able to get everything but Rare. Not bad, totally on accident. Most of the line had already been at Binnys, and had gotten a full allotment there. I guess being at 7 AM means that you don't have to compete with people who will be at Binnys.

 

I've called a few and they've all said just Regular.

 

Was this in the city?

And now I've even more unsure than when I started reading......

 

I got some last year at Mariano's in the burbs, none of them had any variants. They didn't do any type of release either. They just sold them whenever they got their shipment, which was some time in the week following Black Friday. Limit was 1pp at two locations and 4pp at another.

 

Mission accomplished!

 

So let me get this straight... Line up at South Loop Binny's at 12AM and get the full allotment of nothing since they won't have any and then go to LP Binny's at 12PM since they'll surely still have full allotments including 14 VR, then go to Jewel to buy some Rare and go to Bucktown Walgreens to participate in the great BCBS Heist?

Meier store by my house in the burbs got a bunch of regular last year. Was there for a few days.

 

Ironically, I hadn't seen the Jewel portion of this thread but just got back from my local Jewel (burbs). I happened to be speaking to a manager that actually seemed to know what he was talking about (he said he'll be in line at Binny's LP) and he said that, at least with the suburban "event" Jewels they are getting "at least a pallet" of regular, but "about a case or so" of each variant. He didn't know about "event" Jewels in the city, and said non-event Jewels would get regular but not sure about any variants.

 

You guys are the worse, just making it harder it for yourselves, but go ahead.

 

How many kids do you have? Clearly you have at least two (kids = plural), which means that at bare minimum you can have 1 spot in each of 3 lines.

Just make sure each kid has cash and a good fake.
