wait... what... I just moved to Ohio from Indiana this fall.

So, you mean Ohio does not sell BCBS??? Oh no...

 

That turned out to be a poor life decision.

 

They will starting this year I believe as they passed the higher ABV limits for beer.

 

Permits didn't get approved for this year is what I read in the great Lakes forum.

Has anyone actually confirmed the SLL release and time? I have not seen anything from them.

 

Yeah not many details out yet on times/variants with just a couple days to go. I'd like to plan my hunt.

 

I'll be gone for this weekend but preliminary reports I've heard indicate around half as much this year as last year. Also for those wondering about SLL, they have gone through some management changes recently. That might affect things.

 

Any pointers for the Chaska/Chanhassen area? Any release details for the new TW yet?

I've been in this area for Thanksgiving with family the last couple of years. The Vintage is right down the street from my mom's house and those guys are absolutely great so I always give them the bulk of my business, but they don't get much BCBS.

In 2014 I was able to hit the different Eden Prairie Liquors for a fairly decent yield, but last year it seemed like the different locations were playing games. One would tell me they didn't get a delivery yet and send me to another store, but they would say the store I was just at just got delivery and send me back that way, rinse and repeat. Eventually the message changed to "it's all gone" so apparently the BCBS was magically delivered and sold out between these 10-15 minute trips. There seemingly weren't a lot of people on the hunt so I get the feeling the employees at these stores kept A LOT or just didn't want to share their precious with who they determined to be an out-of-town shitlord like me.

 

The few places I've seen posting on various social media all seem to have 1 or 2pp limits on the regular, & some decent sized places aren't getting any of the Coffee & a bare minimum of the barleywine. Sounds like we're back to the place where MN gets a light allocation of BCS (perhaps because we're not willing to bathe in the horror that is 312 Urban Wheat?).

 

I will have to see if I can get any of those places to deliver to Mayo, as I will be there all day on Monday!

Yes, but I'm pretty sure Target Field isn't releasing any BCS on Friday...

 

Now that would be a Target Field event worth attending!

They announced that they were going to announce last night, but nothing came through.
