when the BCS rep created the event under the Swiftway facebook page, accidentally set it up under the wrong facebook page and also made the event private, not public. so there has been some issues getting the updates posted properly. but the bundles you see are the way goose island is releasing the beer. in those packages and with those prices per bottle. they are throwing in some cool stuff as well. you can call swiftway for details but the store will be jam packed tomorrow (631) 654-1338. also, if you haven't seen, package 1 includes 4 BCS, 2 Barley Wine, 1 Coffee, 1 Rare and 1 Regal Rye. package 2 is package 1 minus the coffee and package the is 4 BCS and 2 Barley Wine. around 7:30 they are giving out coffee and donuts all with the BCS flavors. this take over takes place from 9 to 11 and then the store will be open for regular business. i hope some of this info helps.

 

How are the lines at The Foodery/ Philly in general? I'm new to Philly and thinking about heading to the one in Northern Liberties for BCBS...

 

Last year people started lining up the night before at the foodery in northern liberties around 8:00 PM, maybe earlier. I think I read somewhere the last person to get coffee got in line around 11:30 pm.

 

I would save your time and just wait until Weyerbacher Sunday Morning Stout comes out, might not be as good, but cheaper and you don't need to get there 12 hours ahead of time....

At a case per! I believe it was 2 4pks last year. Big upgrade.

 

Swiftway in Medford still had many cases available an hour ago.

 

BuyRite on Rt 22 North Plainfield is selling cans and growlers

 

Saw they had growlers, didn't see cans. At any rate, it was better for me to drive to Carton for a case of Boat, 12 pack of Epitome, 4 pack of School of Hops and another 4 pack of Julie Brewmar. Despite the longer drive, you can get so much more at the brewery.

 

Yeah: $12/bottle, $36/4-pack and $96/12-pack.

Sorry to see the high pricing, I would have expected less after the barrel aged Trogenator pricing. Oh well, it was brewery only anyway.

 

Still plenty of regular and bw at swiftway, you can buy singles now. They also have mag compass for only 4.80 1pp.

Apparently they let you run thru the line several times yesterday for additional packages and one dude spent 1000 bucks

 

1000 bucks for one day of beer buying. Damn.
