LoL, Monkish is totally manipulating their "fan base". What is seriously the point of even announcing a release? They could just randomly put it up for sale, but in reality they have to create a line because it creates fake hype on instagram, etc. it's funny too because they have growler fills on for comparable IPA's, so I really don't understand the need to score cans.

 

I'd also like to point out that Monkish will soon realize that the hype train only goes so far and that all these beer broz are not loyal customers. They move to whatever trades well.

And in the process of riding and abusing the hype train, they have alienated their loyal customers, so when the dust settles, they will probably contract after investing huge amounts of hype capital into scaling up, only to realize that the beer broz aren't there to rescue them because they moved on to the latest fad. Shortsightedness will soon come to bite them in the ass.

I'm a big fan but the hypebeasting is getting out of control. Maybe they should try reducing limits to a single four pack. Enough for people who drink and not resell or trade. I get that they don't have space to cool the cans overnight so they feel pressured to sell out asap. Heck, they'll probably still sell out at the end of the day but I'm sure their fans rather get 1-2 day old cans stored at room temperature then no cans.

 

Just took a dip into this thread and mebered how shitty people in LA are. Member when Monkish had that anti-IPA sign thingie?

 

I was hoping to fill some growlers yesterday on the way home from work. Pulled into the parking lot and was surprised to see a line waiting to go inside. Probably around 20-30. So I said f this and left. So now there's a line for growler fills?

 

Might have been for the glass they released yesterday?
