No luck in Monmouth so far. 1 place told me Wednesday.

Went to Boulevard Super Liquor on Wednesday in Marmora, NJ to see if they had it. The manager told me they had 2 cases but wouldn't be selling it until Black Friday. He told me to come at 9:00 on Friday when they open. I was there today at 8:55. Several people were there for it. The manager that I spoke to Wednesday came and unlocked the door at 9:00 and then disappeared. We all entered and were told immediately by a different manager that Bourbon County was "sold out". We all questioned as to how it was sold out already when they had just opened. He became angry and rudely blurted out, "I bought it all, OK!? There's none left, what are you gonna do!?" Why does BCBS constantly bring out the shady shit at stores...

Best story ever. Should get 100 people together and start calling the store non stop for a day asking if they have any. There is shitty biz practice then there is this. What a tool.

Thats strange, last year they got it in on the monday after black friday, it was on the shelf as many as you wanted for 9.99 per. Never had any issues with this place in the past on limited releases, other than they will just put everything on the shelf and if one person buys it all its gone.

Another spot in Cape May County (Colliers) that ALWAYS got BCBS, that they are not getting any at all. Said they were told supply was cut by 70%.

I found some at BuyRite, Rt 22 North Plainfield. 2 bottles/person. I got there around 11:15, the owner was disappointed, very few people came through. Stew Leonard's in Springfield didn't get any. The guy I spoke to wasn't sure if they are getting it later, or shutout this year.

I saw they had some but both then I ended up going to Carton to get Epitome and other stuff instead. I stopped at Joe Canals on the way home for wine for my wife and was told they were holding their allotment for their chosen ones. I'm happy to get a bottle if possible but honestly I'm turned off by the nonsense of getting this stuff. I'd just as soon drink Backwoods Bastard and it's much easier to get.

Went to Cherry Hill today around 2. Sold out - called earlier in the morning and they had it with 2 bottle limit. Don't know how much they got.

As a consolation prize, I picked up some Enjoy By and some Backwoods Bastard. They had like 6 cases of that. I just moved to Burlington County so I'm thankful that I've gotten 12 bottles of BB already. I was lucky to sniff that in Central NJ over the last couple of years.

I'll be happy with a couple of bottles of regular this year if I can score them. It's just gotten so out of hand with BCBS. KBS has been easier to get the last few years.

Why does NJ always get the short end of the stick with this? We get almost no variants and it releases untimely.

Tend to agree. Only one distributor in the north received variants and it's a debacle to when they're released. Places in Bergen County began selling on Friday, 11/18.

I'm looking at Big Bad Baptist on shelves wondering, why bother with BCBS?

I bought a new one of that last week. Haven't had the new one yet but it's one of my favorites for sure. No hassle too.

Anybody hear or see anything in the Monmouth/Ocean area yet? Called around but everyone I talked to seems to have no idea at this point if/when they are getting it.

I happened to be in Wegmans in Ocean this weekend. I was told they'd get it today or tomorrow. Also, very low numbers for our area this year. They say they probably have the most in the area at 3 cases of regular and maybe a case of barleywine. I'm hoping to find a single bottle for a vertical, but not going out of my way to find it. Anyhow, good luck!

Thanks appreciate it! Yeah not going to go crazy, just want a bottle or two of regular (one to drink one to stash) and hoping for coffee this year but not getting my hopes up!

Backwoods is a top 5 for sure. I was in San Fran when Backwoods was out, and I was worried I wouldn't be able to get any. I am still seeing a lot out on the shelves in various stores. I went into a store in Palo Alto, and they had 22 cases of Backwoods stacked in the back of the store. The owner offered to ship a case for me, and I actually considered it. I was also surprised to see a lot of different varieties of Grimm all over the Bay area. Sucks we can't get it in NJ.

Since I've taken this post way off the tracks, I've seen a lot of people commenting that Backwoods falls off after 6 months. Completely disagree. Just had one from last year, and it's fantastic. 6 months or so, and it is perfect. I don't notice any difference between 6 months to a year.
